IFBB Pro bodybuilder and social media sensation Blessing Awodibu recently shared the first physique update of 2022. Awodibu is one of the promising prospects in the IFBB open pro division and many experts believe that he will be a serious Olympia contender in the years to come.
Blessing Awodibu shared his physique update in some of his recent Instagram posts. The 30-year-old revealed his weight to be 300lbs and showed off massive gains. Blessing Awodibu admits the fact that his legs are the weakest part of his physique and has attributed this to focus on the upper body in the past. Nevertheless, he seems to have made some gains there in recent times. However, Awodibu is currently taking time off to improve his physique. Therefore it seems likely that he will address all the issues before making a comeback.
About Blessing Awodibu
Born in Ireland, 30-year-old Blessing Awodibu is an IFBB pro bodybuilder that competes in the open pro division. Pursuing academics and making a dream career was Awodibu’s primary goal. However, he eventually turned to bodybuilding and competed in his first bodybuilding competition at 18 years of age.
Awodibu’s first major win came in 2016 when he won the Arnold Classic Amateur. After repeating his success in the 2017 edition of Arnold Classic Amateur, Blessing Awodibu earned his Pro Card at the IFBB Diamond Cup later that year.
Awodibu’s first opportunity to compete at a Pro show showed up in the form of the 2020 Arnold Classic Australia. However, the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent travel restrictions stripped him of the opportunity.
Blessing Awodibu eventually made his professional bodybuilding debut at the 2021 IFBB Indy Pro that took place in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 8th, 2021 and finished third. Awodibu next competed at the 2021 New York Pro and developed a fierce rivalry with Nick Walker heading into the competition. The duo traded a lot of jabs on social media. Unfortunately, the rivalry did not culminate into a showdown. While Nick Walker went on to win the competition, Blessing Awodibu was placed sixth. The standing led to Awodibu taking extended time off from competition to improve his physique. however, the timeline for his return is not yet known.
Blessing Awodibu has gained a lot of fame and popularity even without having competed for an extended period of time due to his social media endeavors. The 30-year-old has 1.7 million Instagram followers through his hilarious gym sketches and has built a massive fan base.
