Brandon Curry About Phil Heath

There has apparently been a misunderstanding about some comments which were made by the 2019 Mr. Olympia champion Brandon Curry when he was being interviewed recently; which involved the 7x Mr. Olympia champion, Phil Heath as it relates to this past Olympia contest.

Well, initially, Phil Heath said that he probably would have won the 2019 Olympia simply due to the fact that it was one of the more disappointing competitions because most of the competitors did not bring Olympia-caliber physiques to the stage.

And to be fair, many people had the same opinion about the show.

So, naturally, Brandon Curry being the elite-level competitor that he is and not to mention the winner of this competition, his response to being asked about Phil’s comment was “should have, would have, could have”. The 2019 Mr. Olympia champion then went on to talk about how Phil Heath has to try and stay relevant by making such comments because he’s no longer the champion.

Brandon Curry was also asked if he would still be Mr. Olympia if 7x champ Phil Heath Competed in 2019. His response was, “of course I would”. He said that if Phil Heath was a true champion and thought he could win then he would compete but he believes that wasn’t the case this year.

So, to elaborate further, Brandon Curry made a response video to clear it all up where he said that he was not at all trying to take shots at Phil Heath.

He explained in the video that he was asked a simple question and responded accordingly. And to sum it up, he talked about how he was implying that he’d still win in 2019 which has nothing to do with Phil Heath’s entire Olympia reign because Heath was an incredible champion.
