Bodybuilder Brandon Harding Sustains Shoulder Injury, Says His ‘Prep is Over’
According to Harding, who was preparing to make his IFBB Pro debut, he tore his shoulder apart, which resulted in minor bone damage. After the injury was confirmed by an MRI, Harding knew it was time to call an end to his preparations. As of this writing, he is unsure if surgery will be required to make a full recovery.
“Prep is over. Got the MRI report and I’ve literally torn part of my shoulder off the bone, leaving minor bone damage. I don’t have much to say right now. I might need surgery, but I’ll know after speaking to a surgeon.
I’m sorry this has happened. I’m sorry if I’ve let anyone down. I feel like for the last 18 weeks I’ve been tested so much, so right now I just need a little time to focus, center myself and take care of myself and my responsibilities” Harding wrote.

Given his young age and promise as a Classic Physique contender, the sky is the limit for Brandon Harding. While he has a long way to go, many fans believe he has the shape, structure, and height to contend with other threats atop the category, such as reigning five-time Classic Physique Olympia Chris Bumstead, Urs Kalecinski, Wesley Vissers, and Ramon Rocha Queiroz.
With his followers unsure of the severity of his injury, it’s unclear when we will see Brandon Harding back on the bodybuilding stage. For the time being, he plans to focus on rest and recovery after pushing his body through a strenuous prep.
