The 4x World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw has been looking to cut down on some body fat. He has been making good progress, which he has shared with fans.

Shaw has earned the title of World’s Strongest Man four times over the years, earning a spot among the elite strongmen in the world. However, having accolades like that are important, but Shaw has been trying to lose some weight. He has been working hard to lose body fat, while maintaining muscle.

Shaw has been trying to get down to a goal weight of 400lbs, from a starting weight of 440lbs. He started this journey in June,  and has been going strong since. Subsequently, he posted a recent YouTube video to talk about his progress. In the video, Shaw explains that he has already dropped down to 415lbs, just 15 away from his target!

“I don’t know if you all have noticed, but I feel like I’m starting to look pretty good.

Shaw starts the video off pretty jovially, clearly feeling proud. However, he then explained that the following day he will be getting a DEXA scan to determine his body fat composition. This would allow him to see, scientifically, what his progress has been thus far.

Unfortunately, Shaw would be told that he was too big for the machine to scan him. Nevertheless, that did not deter him from getting a doctor referral to go to a specialist for the scan. He  had another issue at first, but was able to finally get the scan completed.

Check out the full video below:

However, when Brian Shaw got his results, there were several discrepancies between his results, and the results of a previous test he took before beginning his journey. The original test was completed at the Arnold Classic by professionals who are experienced. He attributed these poor results to a lack of experience on the part of the practitioner, along with still having troubles fitting on the machine.

Despite not getting the body fat composition results that he wanted, Brian Shaw has still been doing an amazing job losing weight. He is only 15 pounds away from his goal, and his story is an inspiration.
