Urs Kalecinski, the latest bodybuilder to switch to the Men’s Open, has a bright future in his new class. In a recent YouTube video shared on Sept. 15, 2025, Chris Aceto discussed his chances at the Mr. Olympia in less than four weeks.

Despite taking third place at the Classic Physique Olympia for three consecutive years, Urs Kalecinski moved up categories. No longer bound by a steep weight cap, he was able to grow his physique to 261 pounds. The size, coupled with his signature condition, set the table for a huge season.

He dominated the 2025 ProMuscle Italy Pro against Quinton Eriya and defeated him again a week later, at the Europa Pro Championship. Now barrelling toward Vegas with momentum, Kalecinski intends to turn heads in his first showing at the Olympia as an Open competitor.

Chris Aceto Says He Expects a Better Look from Urs Kalecinski at the 2025 Mr. Olympia

In the video, Aceto confirmed that Kalecinski looked better in Germany than in his Italy Open debut.

“I think he was better this week. The front double looked like it had a better taper, which means he was probably tighter. He already does have a good taper, but it looked wider up top, tighter in the middle.”

With confidence and nerves no longer a factor, Aceto expects Kalecinski to look even better at the 2025 Mr. Olympia.

“He’s been to the Olympia so many times. He won’t have the nerve factor, and he’d have confidence coming in, seeing what he’s just accomplished.

I would expect a better look at the Olympia simply than here because he’s done it, he’s delivered at the Olympia, he’s delivered at the Arnold. He’s done so many shows.”

He adds that Kalecinski has maintained an active schedule throughout his career, giving him ample experience for such a pressure-loaded opportunity.

“For someone so young, he’s done just a ton of shows in Classic and now in Open. Who competes more than him? Urs competed at lots of shows several years after the Arnold or after the Olympia, where a lot of people just do that show and that’s it,” Chris Aceto said

Aceto previously opened up on “The Miracle Bear’s” success. He was blown away by Kalecinski’s bold move and discussed physique comparisons to former six-time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates. While he doesn’t believe they are totally accurate, he does acknowledge that Kalecinski has all the tools needed to shake up the Open.

In addition, Lee Priest has also given his opinion on Kalecinski’s shot in the Men’s Open. A long-time advocate against the 212 and Classic Physique categories, Priest argued that Kalecinski could thrive in the Open, suggesting he’ll secure 7th-10th place at the Olympia this year.

Kalecinski’s jump in classes has been one of the biggest bodybuilding stories of the year. Fans are excited to see how he fares against the best at the Mr. Olympia, set for Oct. 9–12 in Las Vegas, NV.
