2023 CrossFit Season Rulebook Most Important Changes
1.08 – OPEN REGISTRATION – REGION SELECTION
“During the registration process, athletes will provide information to establish their competitive region for the Open. Athletes will remain assigned to this region throughout the competition season.”
This means that the athletes will be placed in regional competitions purely based on their citizenship. There will be seven regions in the 2023 Season, which are:
- North America East
- North America West
- South America
1.11 – OPEN REGISTRATION – ADAPTIVE DIVISIONS
“There are 16 divisions* for adaptive athletes. Any athlete wishing to compete in an adaptive division will be able to select their division as part of the registration process. 1.13 – OPEN REGISTRATION – TEAMS
“Any athlete wishing to register a team or compete as part of a team must first register as an individual athlete. Athletes can also join their affiliate’s team from their own Competition Dashboard.”
Teams will also consist of at least two men and women between the ages of 16-54.
1.26 – CROSSFIT GAMES LEADERBOARD – RANKING
During the Open, athletes are ranked on the leaderboard based on their total placement in all events. For example, an athlete with 2nd place,
3rd place and 5th-place event finishes will have 10 total points (2+3+5=10) and be ranked ahead of an athlete with 1st place, 2nd place and
