UFC President Dana White’s jacked physique has become a topic of discussion in the MMA community in recent times. The once lean UFC boss’s body transformation has also become a favorite topic of trollers as well. In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Dana White gave a tour of his house and shared his workout and diet routine which has helped him maintaining great health at 52 years of age.

Estimated to be worth $500 million, Dana White lives his life big. From a Basketball court to gaming arcades, White’s Las Vegas abode houses everything that a multi-millionaire is expected to possess. However, managing a multi-billion company is a demanding occupation that automatically makes fitness a top priority.

From a lap pool with artificial currents to a fully equipped gym and every possible facility to ensure recovery and food requirements, Dana White’s house is designed to cater to each one of his fitness and nutrition requirements.

The Set-Up

The house Gym includes a grappling and boxing floor with padded floors and walls for obvious reasons. The other half is a standard gym fully equipped for cardio and weight training. However, no amount of training and equipment can ensure fitness and longevity without proper recovery. The cold plunge, steam room, and massage room serve this very purpose in White’s house. The Pilates room with a full-size TV enables group exercise classes, presumably for the entire family and friends.

Dana White’s love for food is hard to go unnoticed – especially if you have followed Dana White Lookin’ For a Fight series. The UFC boss’s food exploration occupies a significant amount of screen time on the show. White admits that his love for food is the number one driving factor behind him working out.

“The reason I work out is because I love food and I love (to) eat,” Dana White said.

Dana White’s house is loaded with refrigerators. According to White, a kitchen is a place where the entire family congregates. The UFC President has a sweet tooth and it will not be an overstatement to say that sugar takes the center stage in the kitchen. From sugary sweets, ice creams, and drinks to more healthy options like fruits, vegetables, and yogurts, refrigerators in the kitchen have something for everyone.

The pantry showcases Dana White’s food choices with stuff like powdered donuts, cookies, and even Cheetos mac and cheese!

Workout routine

With growing age, Dana White has made some significant changes in his workout routine and does not train heavy weights anymore.

“I’m not trying to break any records. I’m 51years old. I’m trying not to get fat. I’m trying not to get hurt. Those are my two goals every day when I come in here.” Dana White said.

White’s focus lies mainly on cardio and light weights training. He emphasizes completing each rep with perfect movements. A morning person by nature, Dana White says his idea of an intense workout includes good cardio and circuit training.

  • Monday to Friday – Cardio Training
  • Saturday – Circuit Training (Circuit Saturday)

As going out and socializing has reduced over time, spending time in the gym has become Dana White’s way of distressing and having a quiet time.

“I don’t go out much like I used to. So, coming over to the gym is my quiet time. My ‘get my head together’ time,” Dana White said.

Dana White used to train by himself for the majority of his life. However, he underwent shoulder surgery a few years back, and to avoid getting hurt during training, White has hired a personal trainer. White attributes a lot of his success in maintaining good health to working out under the guidance of a trainer.

“It has completely changed everything. It’s a game-changer for me. When you’ve been working out by yourself your whole life, then you get your trainer? I recommend it to everybody. Hire a trainer. It’s incredible,” Dana White said.

Diet and Nutrition

As mentioned before, Dana White loves to eat and does not like to be restrictive about his food choices. UFC Performance Institute (PI), the UFC’s athlete training and nutrition facility are at the UFC president’s disposal at all times. However, White admits that his dietary choices will not sit well with his nutritionists.

“I would have to imagine that the nutritionist down at the PI would not be impressed by the choices that I make daily on my eating and nutrition.” Dana White said.

White eats his breakfast and lunch at the office and dinner at home during weekdays. A personal chef cooks White’s meals on the weekends. The 52-year-old usually likes to start his day with scrambled eggs, sausages, or breakfast sandwiches. As much as Dana White loves food, he is not a huge fan of seafood and does not like garlic, onions, and peppers either.

Without elaborating further White stated that his meals are healthier versions of not-so-healthy foods. An overwhelmingly large number of people find it difficult to adhere to the Keto diet. However, Dana White finds it easy to follow the Keto diet because it allows him to eat the things he likes.

Nutrition is the most important aspect of healthy living and experts around the world will disagree with Dana White’s eating habits. However, White’s jacked physique stands in strong contrast with the general notion of healthy eating. It also proves that all is well as long as you do what makes you happy.
