When it comes to setting men’s fitness trends, Dwayne Johnson finds himself at the forefront more often than not. Earlier this year, The Rock showed off his leg gains in an Instagram post wearing shorts that barely covered his thighs. The trend to show off thighs thus started came to be known as the Quadsummer. Summer of 2021 is in the books but Johnson’s progress hasn’t slowed down a single bit. The 49-year-old recently shared a similar photo on his Instagram account that showed his massive legs.

The Instagram post shows Dwayne Johnson posing in the gym to show off leg day gains. Johnson has spoken about the importance of mindfulness on multiple occasions in recent times. In the caption to his post, The Rock stated that he is pleased with a wise approach to training, maintaining work-life balance, and mindfulness.

‘Completely smashed our leg training last night. Been very pleased (though not satisfied) with my progress in the gym, constantly fine-tuning my diet and especially overlaying a wiser approach to work/life balance and mindfulness.’ Dwayne Johnson wrote.

Dwayne Johnson is one of the most successful fitness role models, movie stars, and brand ambassadors of our time. Therefore, he is not alien to the constant struggle to maintain focus amid distractions. Asserting the importance of consistent hard work and steady progress, The Rock wished his followers a productive week ahead.

‘Shit is hard to do, with a million people & things pulling at you every day – I get it, I live it and I understand. Do your best to block out the noise and stay focused on the goals and initiatives. Make your goals a healthy obsession and then apply the strategy of consistent, daily hard work. Slow and steady always wins the long game race. Have a productive week.’ Dwayne Johnson wrote in the caption.

Dwayne Johnson deals with fatigue by asking himself important questions

Dwayne Johnson takes pride in being one of the most hard-working individuals. The long list of blockbuster movies, constant social media updates on fitness and other walks of life, and other ventures stand testimony to this fact. However, even the most hard-working individuals are not immune to fatigue and lack of motivation.

While answering fans questions on how he powers his way through fatigue and tiredness in an Instagram video, The Rock stated that he talks himself through those situations and asks himself fundamental questions that help him shake off procrastination and motivate him to push through:

‘When it’s midnight and all my business is done for the day – and the only thing left on my “to do” list is workout..
Two things I think about

  • I’ll remind myself of how things used to be many years ago… those fun $7 bucks days.
  • Then in the quiet of the night when no one is watching or listening, I’ll ask one of the most important questions we can ask ourselves in this moment.

How bad of a motherfucker do you think you are?’
Then I’ll usually start belly laughing like a crazy person while nodding my head and say
“Fuck you. Let’s fucking GO” And off we go.’
