Eddie Hall has had some high-profile fights in recent years, showing that he truly has a passion for combat sports, as well as big goals for the future. Well, he has set a new challenge for himself, as he hopes to take on Dillon Danis. The two men have verbally agreed to the bout, but under one condition — Eddie Hall has to get his bodyweight under 300 pounds (136 kilograms). Hall revealed the agreement while talking with a popular YouTuber, ‘KSI’.
Dillon Danis built a legacy for being one of the best grapplers in the world but also gained fame through viral interactions with popular fighters and influencers in the past. Dillon recently made headlines after beating Warren Spencer in an MMA match as a part of Misfits 22, which took place on August 30th in Manchester.
Following his spectacular 15-second submission win, Dillon Danis faced off against Eddie Hall in the ring. The two men talked about a potential fight, prompting Danis to set an interesting stipulation for Hall. Namely, Dillon stated that he would agree to a fight if Eddie Hall manages to cut his bodyweight down to less than 300 pounds (136 kilograms).
“He said on camera, we shook hands; if I get under 300 pounds (136 kilograms), we can fight. He agreed to that,” said Hall.
“Mate, we will make that happen! We will happily make that happen,” said KSI, the CEO of the Misfits federation.

Eddie Hall also revealed that he has 64 pounds (29 kilograms) to lose in order to fulfill his end of the agreement. As for the timeframe, he told KSI that he needs just 12 weeks to get his bodyweight to below 300 pounds (136 kilograms). On the other hand, Dillon Danis revealed that his bodyweight is 170 pounds (77 kilograms). So, even if the conditions are met, the weight difference between the two will still be massive.
Eddie Hall started his career in combat sports with a boxing match against the 2018 World’s Strongest Man, Hafthor Bjornsson. He lost the bout following a unanimous decision from the judges but did not let it discourage him. Instead, he moved over to MMA, which clearly suits him better. Since then, Eddie achieved a spectacular win against the Neffati brothers in a 2vs1 MMA match. He then took on the 5x WSM champion and experienced fighter, Mariusz Pudzianowski, securing a K.O. win in just 30 seconds.
During his Strongman days, Eddie Hall was recognized as a truly incredible athlete and arguably the strongest human in history when it comes to static strength. His greatest win came at the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, but Eddie also cemented his legacy by becoming the first person ever to deadlift 500 kilograms (1,102.3 pounds).
On the other hand, Dillon Danis has a resume that shows his capabilities. He has competed in multiple federations, always putting up great performances, especially when it came to grappling. Some may also know Dillon for his role as a coach and training partner for Conor McGregor while he prepared for his matches against Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Eddie Hall’s journey in the next 12 weeks will certainly be very interesting, as he will aim to lose a substantial amount of weight. He will still be much larger than Dillon Danis, who hopes that his years-long experience will help overcome the former World’s Strongest Man.
