We’re not exaggerating when we say an 885lb squat was easy for 17-year-old powerlifter Jackson Powell. He got amazing depth and absolutely smoked a recent PR attempt!
In May of last year, Powell hit a squat PR of 725 lbs as a 16-year high school sophomore. Fast forward to January this year and he broke four National records in a single meet. Then earlier this month, the young lifter and football player out of Tennessee powered through a 675b front squat which is very impressive.
However, his most recent feat tops them all! Check it out below…
If you want more then here’s an older video he recently reposted where he squatted 800lbs for 3 reps which was also one of his best performances to date…

He can also pull a lot of weight as well which isn’t surprising but here’s a very recent video where he easily plowed through a 605lb deadlift x 1…
Now, Jackson Powell does weigh 300+ pounds which certainly helps him to handle such big weights. But in his January meet, he broke every National USPA record in his age and weight class. He achieved an 832-pound squat, 380-pound bench, and a 644-pound deadlift for an 1856-pound total.
We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes on this young powerlifter because he’s surely destined for greatness and this is only the beginning.
