The bodybuilding community faces another crushing loss. On Jan. 5, 2026, it was revealed by TMZ Sports that Women’s Bodybuilder Jayne Trcka passed away at 62. She died on Dec. 12, 2025, and her cause of death is pending, as per the San Diego Medical Examiner.
Trcka’s son confirmed her passing in San Diego on Dec. 12. He was not aware of any medical conditions or sicknesses that could have caused this tragedy.
Trcka was a mainstay in the Women’s Bodybuilding division throughout the 1990s and 2000s. Her symmetry, tapered waist, and impressive muscle definition helped her stand out in magazines when there were fewer female competitors and categories.
She later leveraged her fitness career to find success in Hollywood. Her most significant role came in Scary Movie (2000), where she played Miss Mann, a high school gym teacher. She also appeared in “The Drew Carey Show” and “Whose Line is it Anyway?”. Beyond the big screen, she inspired fans with her aesthetics and fun-loving personality.

Details surrounding her death are still sparse. Law enforcement informed TMZ that Trcka’s friend tried to call her a number of times, but no one picked up. After her worries compounded, she went to Trcka’s house to check on her, at which time she found her unresponsive in the kitchen.
Police and first responders were called immediately, who later pronounced her dead at the scene.
