If you ask Jessica Buettner, few things go better with Halloween, than doing deadlifts. However, when you add some cancer awareness into it, that is as good as it gets.
Buettner is a Canadian powerlifter, who has had a ton of success in her career. She is a national champion, as well as having won multiple regional competitions. Moreover, she scored second place in the 2019 World Classic Powerlifting Championships.
However Jessica Buettner is known for more than just her efforts on the stage. She is beginning to make a name for herself, as someone who is looking to make a bigger impact. This becomes most evident in her recent efforts to help with the organization Deadlift 4 Cancer.
Buettner is an ambassador for the foundation, who looks to raise awareness for cancer. They offer various contests for athletes to take part in, helping spread the word. Funds received go to the Surviv(her) Cancer Foundation, dedicated to researching breast cancer.

Part of the fun of the Deadlift 4 Cancer events, is in it’s Halloween theme. This was something that Jessica Buettner enjoyed, as she showed in a recent Instagram video. You can see her hitting a 500lb deadlift for five reps, all the while dressed for the occasion.
Check it out:
“500lbs/228kgs x 5 @deadlift4cancer last night!! Between all the heavy deads, some stripper moves @jarekrhode and all of the costumes
(including @anthonysingeris13 lifting 645 dressed as a baby), @amydeepharmd put on the best event yet💪💪”
These are some really impressive lifts from Buettner, especially while in costume. Although she has been known to have some solid deadlifts. The fact that it is for a good cause is enough to make anybody’s heart just a bit warmer. It is nice to see the bodybuilding world come together for a good cause while maintaining the holiday spirit.
Jessica Buettner put in some good work at this show, helping out the Deadlift 4 Cancer event. Even outside of that, she is just an incredibly strong powerlifter.
