And we’re back with yet another world record bench press performance from none other than Julius Maddox. Maddox has proven once again that he’s the strongest raw bench presser in the entire galaxy. He first surpassed the all-time raw bench press record held by Kirill Sarychev with 739.6 lbs in September 2019.
Then, that number started getting bigger and bigger and before we knew it, Maddox hit 347kg/765 pounds in training last month for a personal record. But he recently eclipsed that number by five pounds and set a new, official world record of 350kg/770 pounds at the 2020 Arnold Sports Festival via the Xtreme powerlifting Coalition… yeah, let that one sink in.

Here’s the lift from a different angle via Julius Maddox’ YouTube…
This performance wasn’t as easy as his other lifts which is to be expected but he still got it without much of a hitch.
Now, Julius Maddox has increased his bench press world record by 30 pounds since September last year. Well, another 30 pounds and he’ll be at 800 pounds which is the number he’s aiming for. And at this point, he’ll definitely get it but the question is when…
It most likely won’t be in the next few months but by the end of 2020 is definitely not out of the question. Handling this much weight surely doesn’t get easier and easier so it really depends on how he progresses.
But we’ll make sure to let you know when he achieves a new personal record which is very likely to happen soon based on how good he looked here.
