If you have been paying attention to Blessing Awodibu as he prepares for his pro debut, you may seen Kai Greene hanging around and offering him a lending hand. Now the two have hit the gym, and put in work during an intense training session.

Over the years, Greene has gone from fan favorite bodybuilder, to a full blown entrepreneur. He has not competed in a while, instead switching to a life of acting, coaching, and even starting his own podcast.

On the one hand, fans miss seeing Kai on stage, as he had a phenomenal physique. On the other, it is hard to not be impressed with what he has been able to accomplish, and how he has been an ambassador of sorts for the sport.

Most recently, Kai Greene has been doing some work with Blessing Awodibu, even appearing in some of Blessing’s comedy videos. Of course, that does not mean the pair still do not find time to train hard together too.

That is precisely what happened in a recent upload to Kai’s YouTube channel. Here, the two were seen hitting up the REDCON1 gym for a hardcore back and conditioning training session, ahead of Blessing’s long-awaited pro debut.

“You’re going to see how we make this s—t happen,” Greene said.

“I’m not here to move a whole lot of weight. I am here to develop myself on the path I want to go. I’m an aspiring athlete, I’m a business man, I’m an actor, I’m a personality developing person that can turn a situation like this into an opportunity for a lot of people to grow. That’s my tool, that’s my gift.”

First thing’s first, the boys hit the stair stepper for a cardio warm-up. Blessing notes that this is not something he normally does, instead going straight to the weights, but he is following in Kai’s footsteps.

Greene then walks them through some stretches to help warm up the body before getting to work. The first things on the list of activities is dips and pullups, using their own body weight to start the workout.

After this, Kai has them move on to shrugs, to help boost the traps. That is followed by some cable pulldowns, explaining that each exercise builds into the next one.

Moving on to t-bar rows, Kai Greene and the boys get to work on some hefty weight. They follow that up with iso lateral pulldowns, before doing cable rows to end the session.

“I just feel like I got beaten up some gorillas today, but we’re just getting started!” Kai said.

As the wrap up the video, they joke with each other about how difficult the warm-up was, and Blessing says he is going to miss that portion of the workout next time. All in all, it was a pretty good training session.

What did you think of this intense workout from Kai Greene?
