When speaking about deadlifts, one of the first names that comes to mind is Eddie Hall. He is known as the first man to officially deadlift half a ton, which was replicated by only one other man after him. So, seeing as Eddie has a son who inherited his genes, it was just a matter of time before we saw him follow in his father’s footsteps as well. Despite being just 11-years-old, Maximus Hall is frequently training under the guidance of his father. Consequently, Max has recently performed his first 100-kilogram (220.5-pound) deadlift.

The video footage of Maximus Hall’s 100-kilogram (220.5-pound) deadlift PR was shared on Instagram by his proud father, Eddie. In the video, Max can be seen wearing a lifting belt and using lifting straps while opting for the convention stance. Maximus lifted the barbell from the floor with relative ease, but slowed down once it reached his knees. He then displayed some resilience similar to his father’s and continued pulling. Max then reached the lockout portion of the deadlift, which required some more grinding, but he managed to complete it.

After completing the deadlift, Max Hall went straight into a celebratory hug with his dad, who commented “That is absolutely incredible”. Eddie was clearly delighted to witness his son’s improvement, with his smile being the proof of it.

As per Eddie Hall, his son has already set a humongous new goal for the future. Namely, Maximus wants to reach the 200-kilogram (440.9-pound) milestone by the time he turns 12-years-old. His birthday will come in July of 2024. So, if Max manages to fulfill his goal, there is no doubt that he will be one of the greatest young prospects in the world.

While Maximus Hall’s new goal will definitely require a lot of work to achieve, it is important to acknowledge how quickly he is improving. Just one year ago, Eddie Hall shared a video showcasing Max’s first ever deadlift. So, he has mastered the basics very quickly and is already lifting weights that are incredible for his age.

While his son has turned to strength training, Eddie Hall has ventured out to two other sports. Firstly, he is preparing for a debut in bodybuilding, which is set to take place near the end of next year. Alongside that, Eddie is also preparing to take part in a $300 million MMA Tournament in February of 2024. His first opponent will be the 2023 World’s Strongest Man, Mitchell Hooper, while the winner of the duel will progress to another fight on the same night.

As Maximus continues to develop over the years, training with Eddie, and improving overall, there is no doubt that he could become one of the most impressive deadlifters in the world.
