Rebecca Roberts is known to be extremely dominant in some of the Strongwoman events and excellent in all other events as well. However, her goal is to be the strongest woman on earth and the first checkpoint to that was improving her deadlifts. So, she put in a lot of work to prepare for one specific variation of this exercise, which is the Axle Deadlift. Her progress has been tremendous, which allowed her to peak in a recent training session. So, she loaded an Unofficial Axle Deadlift World Record of 270 kilograms (595.2 pounds) and performed two repetitions with it.

Rebecca Roberts was not feeling too well coming into the recent training sessions due to her father’s health problems. However, seeing how it was something that she can not affect or control at all, Rebecca turned to the gym. It was there that she loaded 270 kilograms (595.2 pounds) on an axle barbell and got ready for her lift.

Rebecca Roberts then put on a deadlift suit, lifting belt, and figure eight lifting straps before starting to deadlift. She proceeded to perform two repetitions with seemingly not too much trouble, despite the fact that it weighed 8.5 kilograms (18.7 pounds) over Rhiannon Lovelace’s Open World Record.

“There wasn’t much I could do there so I trained as planned and hit everything that was programmed. The gym really is like therapy, lifting heavy shit helps me so much when I’m feeling stressed or down ❤️” wrote Roberts on Instagram.

Another reason why Rebecca Roberts focused so much on the Axle Deadlift is because it will be one of the events at the 2023 Giants Live Britain’s Strongest Woman competition. It will take place in less than two weeks, as it is scheduled for September 30th, in Doncaster Dome, UK. The roster for the competition is incredible, to say the least, but Rebecca is considered as one of the favorites.

Rebecca Roberts has had a really busy season this year already, but it is only about halfway through. She first made her debut appearance at the 2023 Arnold Strongwoman Classic, where she impressed with a second place finish. Then, around three months later, Rebecca grabbed a win at the 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman competition. Finally, she also competed at the 2023 OSG European Championships, where she once again took silver.

Looking back at her entire professional career so far, Rebecca Roberts is definitely ranked among the greatest Strongwomen in history. She was already the World’s Strongest Woman in 2021, but she hopes to add more WSW titles in the future.

Despite a very unfortunate situation that Rebecca Roberts is going through, she is still managing to remain strong, both mentally and physically. This displays her greatness in perfect light, as she is once again putting up record-breaking performances amidst setbacks. Hopefully it will pay off in around ten days, when Rebecca will attempt to become Britain’s Strongest Woman.
