Bodybuilders Sam Sulek and Larry Wheels finally teamed up for a workout. On August 5, 2025, they smashed a chest training session and polished their posing skills during the off-season.
Sam Sulek made his amateur debut at the 2025 Legends Classic and won overall gold in Classic Physique. This allowed him to compete at the Arnold Amateur, and he fully embraced the opportunity. Sulek claimed gold, became an IFBB Pro, and has now set his sights on a bright future in the Classic Physique division.
Larry Wheels also turned pro recently. Traveling overseas, he picked up a major win at the 2025 Musclecontest Ireland. Both Wheels and Sulek have teased a showdown at the next Arnold Classic. With time to improve their physiques, they traded training wisdom during the collaboration.

- Incline fly machine
- Vertical chest press machine circular
- Pec fly machine
- Flat press machine
- High pulley standing cable fly
During sets on the chest press machine, Wheels touched on how his leg training approach has changed.
“I had to adjust my technique dramatically to be able to emphasize hitting my quads, whereas squatting as a powerlifter, I have a very wide stance.
I’m leaning slightly forward, bar over the middle of my foot. It’s very posterior chain-dominant lift. When I squat low bar, like a powerlifter, so I can lift as much weight as possible, and as a result, I can squat 20 to maybe 30% more than if I bring my stance in more significantly.”
Moving to the next exercise, Sulek discussed warming up the chest and not losing momentum mid-workout.
“Your chest is ready, it doesn’t know if you’re doing a press or a fly, it knows is it warm, is it loaded, if you know you can handle it, just don’t lose momentum,” he explains.
Sulek also gave his thoughts on the pec deck, noting that it rarely leads to immense fatigue.
“Usually, pec decks are not humbling. I don’t remember the last pec deck I said whoa, half the stack. Some leg curls I get, some rows, but usually the pec decks, the stacks are within reason,” shared Sulek.
After cable flies, Wheels’ shoulders were on fire, so they finished with a focused posing session.
“The chest is done, it’s all shoulders now,” said Wheels.
As two of the biggest stars in bodybuilding, Sulek and Wheels remain focused on making a statement at their first Pro show. As of this writing, it appears that it will take place at the 2026 Arnold Classic, scheduled for next March.
