Isabelle Pereira Nunes wins Wellness at the San Antonio Classic 2021. The event took place on Saturday, October 23, 2021, in San Antonio, Texas, and was a 2022 Mr. Olympia qualifier.

New Wellness Division

In 2019, it was announced that the Wellness division would be coming to the IFBB Pro League in 2020. The new category of competitors was highly requested and while athletes should be well-rounded, the focus for this class was the lower body muscles such as the glutes, thighs, and calves.

A few months after the announcement of this division, a schedule was released with the initial batch of competitions that would take place.

While there was no Wellness Olympia in 2020, it was a featured event at the 2021 Olympia earlier this month. Competitor Francielle Mattos won the inaugural Wellness Olympia contest and it was a historical moment for the division.

Isabelle “Isa” Nunes wasn’t far behind though taking third place at the 2021 Olympia behind Angela Borges (Runner-up). She also won the 2021 Milwaukee Pro in May this year.

Isa is certainly one to watch in the Wellness division moving forward.

The San Antonio Classic Wellness runner-up was Lorena Ragusa who finished in 9th place at the 2021 Olympia and was also the runner-up at the 2021 Puerto Rico Pro. Devyn Cambre ended up third overall. Cambre placed fifth at the 2021 Puerto Rico Pro and 4th at the Milwaukee Pro, and 14th at the 2021 Olympia.
