Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Shares His ‘Kick Ass’ Chest Workout
Between his previous wrestling career and all his time on the big screen, Johnson has been passionate about keeping up his insanely ripped physique. Even at 51, ‘The Rock’ hasn’t slowed down and is able to kill it in the gym with various types of training including his ‘Monster set’ leg day or his superhero quad workout. Back at it again, Dwayne Johnson demonstrates his routine for the chest while dripping sweat in a recent Instagram post.
“Chest superset FINALE
It’s a bitch but very productive.
Cable flys ➕ elevated feet push ups
10-12 reps
3-4 second squeeze/hold on flys.
* Slow tempo on push ups, til failure
* no need to go heavy here ‼️
* open up your chest, stretch, squeeze on that held contraction.
* control your tempo – quality reps only
Kick ass and have fun” Johnson writes.
‘The Rock’ can be seen doing cable flys, which he has kept in the 10-12 rep range while holding for 3-4 seconds on each contraction. Instead of relying on heavy weight, The Rock is perfecting his form to reap the most benefits out of the movement. After the flys, Johnson shared that he performed elevated foot push-ups.
Regardless of Johnson showing off his hard work in the gym, some fans and YouTubers have speculated that he is not natural and uses steroids. Bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler has addressed those rumors and defended him sharing that it is ‘his business’ whether he comes out about his potential performance-enhancing drug use.
