Tom and Luke Stoltman are undoubtedly among the greatest Strongmen to ever compete. However, in order to perform at the highest level of the sport, they need to have proper nutrition. So, the brothers recently posted a video to YouTube, revealing their 16,000 calorie daily diet.

The Strongman diet has always been a fascinating topic, seeing how athletes eat significantly more food than average men. Moreover, many pro Strongman athletes have talked about eating being a chore for them, as they have a meal every 2-3 hours. The Stoltman brothers have a similar frequency of eating, as they displayed in the video.

Tom Stoltman’s diet in particular could play a major factor, as he will take part in the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic on March 1-2. So, he is looking to consume all the necessary nutrients to optimize his body for the challenges that it will have to endure.

Meal One

Tom and Luke Stoltman start their day off at 8:00 a.m. when they start preparing their breakfast. Their first meal of the day is quite diverse, as they consume some eggs, fruit, and even mushrooms. This sets them up for a productive day, but only marks the start of what they have to eat.

  • Eight Eggs — 730 calories
  • Four slices of Brown Bread — 400 calories
  • 100 grams of Mushrooms — 20 calories
  • 100 grams of Blueberries — 45 calories
  • 50 grams of grapes — 35 calories

Total: 1,230 calories

Meal Two

Although 10:30 a.m. might be an early morning for some, for Tom and Luke Stoltman it is already time for their second meal of the day. Interestingly, the brothers prepared each other’s meals. So, Luke made the steak and rice for Tom and vice versa.

  • Two Ribeye Steaks — 1,340 calories
  • 230 grams of Rice — 400 calories
  • Teriyaki Sauce — 100 calories
  • Butter — 315 calories

Total: 2,155 calories

While preparing the breakfast, Tom Stoltman also talked about the upcoming 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic that he plans to take part in.

“I’ve put in 100% and I’m in a different mindset than I was every other year. So I promise you that I will not finish less than the podium.”

Meal Three (Pre-Workout)

Just an hour and a half after their second meal, Tom and Luke Stoltman made their way back to the kitchen for their third one. This was the cheat meal of the day for the brothers, as it held the purpose of energizing them for the workout that would ensue.

Tom and Luke Stoltman pointed out that they could eat significantly more of the battered mars bars or battered cream eggs, despite the fact that just one contained 600 calories. So, while their other meals are balanced, the brothers like to enjoy their pre-workout dish.

“If you had a 500 calorie meal, you would be filled. This (Battered Mars Bar), you could eat four or five of them,” said Tom.

  • Battered Mars Bar — 600 calories
  • Battered Cream Egg — 475 calories
  • Fish and Chips — 1,100 calories

Total: 2,175 calories

Meal Four (Post-Workout)

Luke Stoltman pointed out that he and his brother struggle to eat a lot of food after their workouts, so they like to keep their meals light. So, they just aim to provide their bodies with some protein in order to improve their recovery.

  • Two scoops of Protein — 150 calories
  • 100 grams of Grapes — 70 calories

Total: 220 calories

Meal Five

At 6:00 p.m., Tom and Luke Stoltman take on their final meal of the day. Seeing that they had gone without a major meal for a few hours, they once again prepared a heavy dish to keep them full throughout the night.

They once again ate some steak. The reason for it is because Luke feels that he performs better when he eats red meat. He is not sure if that is a placebo effect, though, but still sticks to it since it works for him. Moreover, he points out that eating steak can sometimes get a bit repetitious. So, he does not shy away from eating chicken for his final meal as well.

  • Two Ribeye Steaks — 1,340 calories
  • 230 grams of Rice — 400 calories
  • 100 grams of Mixed Vegetables — 65 calories
  • Teriyaki Sauce — 100 calories
  • Butter — 315 calories

Total: 2,220 calories

Daily Calorie Intake

  • Per Person: 8,000 calories
  • Combined: 16,000 calories

Tom Stoltman has less than a week left until the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic. So, he is looking to utilize his diet and hard work to get into the top three. On the other hand, Luke Stoltman will not be competing in the same competition, but is preparing for other shows, such as the 2024 Europe’s Strongest Man. So, both brothers are taking care of their bodies by consuming enough calories to remain in contention for the most prestigious titles.
