The sport of Strongman has evolved through the years, and so have the prize rewards. However, the information about the money that can be won in prestigious competitions is still not fully known. Well, Tom and Luke Stoltman have addressed this topic in their recent YouTube video. Moreover, they revealed whether it is possible to become a millionaire by doing Strongman.

Strongman is also an extremely expensive sport, as the athletes have to allocate money towards their humongous diets, supplements, recovery, and training. So, even after winning some prize money, the athletes have to reinvest a lot of it into their further preparation.

It is important to note that Tom and Luke Stoltman have only talked about the money received for winning Strongman competitions. On the other hand, dropping lower than first place in any competition also brings a substantial drop in prize money received.

Starting off, Tom and Luke Stoltman talked about the prize money that the four biggest competitions give out to the winners. Those four competitions are the Rogue Invitational, Strongest Man on Earth, Arnold Strongman Classic, and the World’s Strongest Man. It is important to note that these competitions are notoriously hard to win, with the majority of elite Strongman athletes not even getting close to achieving this throughout their entire careers.

“The Rogue Invitational is coming out on top now. It is just under $120,000… The Strongest Man on Earth is just over $100,000. Arnold Strongman Classic is at $80,000 and the World’s Strongest Man is $75,000. It is quite surprising. I would think that the World’s Strongest Man should be the pinnacle and the most prestigious, and it is, so maybe it should be a bit more.

If we won all four of those, the total prize approximately is $371,793. It is a significant amount of money, but obviously winning those four is exceptionally hard to do, and you have got to be really committed.” said Luke.

Tom and Luke Stoltman have also addressed the Giants Live competitions, which feature a series of shows throughout the season. They are usually one-day competitions that attract thousands of in-person viewers, allowing the organizers to give out a decent prize purse to the athletes.

“At Giants Live throughout the year we have six major competitions… In each of these competitions, you earn $30,000 if you win them. It takes a total of them six competitions to $180,000.

It takes the prize pot to a whopping $551,793 by doing ten competitions in a year and winning all of them,” said Tom.

Luke Stoltman also took a moment to explain that they are only addressing the money that is given out in competitions. So, some athletes also earn money through sponsorships, by running their own businesses and projects, and also by working in regular 9-5 jobs. However, that type of income was not included by Tom and Luke in their video.

“This is just based on the prize pot. We are not talking about sponsors, win bonuses or anything like that. This is purely cold hard cash that you get from winning competitions,” said Luke

Seeing that the prize pot in the aforementioned competitions is nowhere near 1 million dollars, Tom and Luke Stoltman also revealed that there is a way to earn some more money in Strongman. In order to do so, they would have to break two of the most coveted Strongman World Records.

“The two major World Records that can be broken throughout the year are the Deadlift World Record and Log Lift World Record. You get $50,000 for each, which is an extra $100,000 into the pot,” said Tom.

Furthermore, there are still some more competitions remaining in a season. That also presents as a way to earn some more money.

“If your body is still able to do more. If you have done all of the Giants Live competitions and won that, broken the Deadlift and Log World Record, and then done the Big Four… There is also the OSG, Magnus Ver Magnusson Classic, Arnold Classic UK, and the Strongman Champions League. We are not too sure about the money,” said Luke.

Wrapping up the video, Tom and Luke Stoltman revealed their final thoughts about the possibility of winning 1 million dollars in Strongman. It does currently seem impossible, but both of the brothers have noted just how much the sport has improved over the years.

“The Final Total is $651,793 if you come first place in all of those competitions… The prize pots have significantly changed from when we first started. I remember that the WSM was like $30,000, Giants Live was like $5,000… It has changed a lot, obviously for the better… There is a way to become a full-time Strongman… Strongman is still growing, and we want to see it get even bigger.” said Luke.

“Can you win 1 million dollars from doing Strongman? The answer to that is no. But it has helped me live a good life. Strongman has changed my life for the better,” said Tom.

Luke has also battled a bicep injury for the past few months but is now ready to get back into the competitive scene.
