Remember that saying “Everything is better with butter?” Well, bodybuilding legend Tom Platz certainly believes it to be true. In a recent YouTube video, Platz shares his secrets to success, including eating real butter and avoiding excess sugar. 

As a golden-era bodybuilder, Tom Platz competed on stage with greats such as Lee Haney and Frank Zane. His impeccable physique and show-stopping legs that measured over 30 inches earned him the nickname ‘The Quadfather.’

Tom Platz Gives His Nutrition Tips And Secrets To Staying Youthful 

Tom Platz has acquired a wealth of experience with training and dieting. Although he made some questionable choices in his younger days concerning nutrition, Platz reveals in a YouTube short that eating real butter over margarine is of utmost importance. He also emphasized that eating less sugar might help slow the aging process. 

“Butter does not have to be broken down by the liver. Butter gets immediately into the bloodstream. Not margarine. Margarine has a half-life of 50 years in the body. It stays in the body for 50 years.”

“My joints, my skin is much better with butter. I could get away with it when I was 20. When I was 20, laid on the beach three hours a day, I was, I could look good for most of my 20s.”

“You know, on real low-fat diets, no butter just sugar, okay? But I found nowadays I age a lot quicker with more sugar” Platz revealed
