Urs Kalecinski is cruising into the next bodybuilding season with growth on his mind. On Feb. 1, 2026, he showcased an insane full day of eating in Thailand to add meaningful size to his physique.
Urs Kalecinski was an elite-level Classic Physique competitor before setting his sights on the Men’s Open. He managed to take third place at the 2024 Classic Physique Olympia, behind only Mike Sommerfeld and champion Chris Bumstead.
In 2025, “The Miracle Bear” said enough was enough. He switched out of Classic Physique and moved into the Men’s Open class. He shocked the world in his first two outings; he secured gold at the ProMuscle Italy Pro and the Europa Pro Championships.
This was evidence that he could hold his own against world-class talent. But when he made it to the Mr. Olympia, he was outgunned in 13th place, which was mostly due to size. Looking ahead, he won’t make that same mistake twice.
Urs Kalecinski’s Full Day of Eating in Thailand
Find his meal breakdown from the video below:
Meal 1
- Sardines
- 4 Eggs
- Tomato
- Avocado
- Sourdough Bread
- Oatmeal
- Almond Flour
- Banana
- Mango
- Raw Honey
- Peanut Butter
Kalecinski kept breakfast big for back day. In addition to eggs and sardines, he got his carbs through a homemade pudding.
“This is my pudding. That’s not nearly enough for me. This thing. This is oatmeal with almond flour, banana, mango, raw honey. Very good. And peanut butter. Yes, it should provide enough energy. Definitely for the back workout that’s coming up later.”
Meal 2
- Matcha Coconut Latte
- Iced Cappuccino
- Cheese Sandwich
- Water
- Three-Cheese Blend
- Orangina
Next, he focused on ensuring he got enough caffeine for the day before enjoying a cheese sandwich.
Meal 3
- Minced Garlic Chicken
- Thai Basil
- White Rice
- Eggs
- Curry
- Mango Sticky Rice
- Coconut Milk
- Sugar
- Tom Kha (Thai Soup)
Embracing the native culture, he had Pat Kapau next, a Thai garlic-tasting chicken dish.
“We have the Pat Kapau. This is my absolute favorite dish. It’s minced chicken with Thai basil. Yes, a little bit spicy,” he shared. “It’s just very digestible, goes down easily. It’s then combined with rice and an egg, sometimes with three eggs and three portions of rice.”
Meal 4
- Noodles
- Tamarind Sauce
- Lime
- Tomato Sauce
- Peanuts
- 2 Eggs
- Banana Shake
Kalecinski had noodles and washed them down with a banana protein shake for his fourth meal.
“Banana shakes remind me of childhood, when my mother always made them herself.”
Meal 5
- Steak Skewers
- Chicken Skewers
- Scrambled Eggs
- White Rice
As the day winds down, he has his highest protein meal, which includes chicken, steak, and eggs.
“Late at night, we’re having another load of chicken from the load of white. We have steak skewers here, which I don’t really like in Germany because they’re always super dry.”
Meal 6
- On-the-Go Sandwich
- Cupcake
- Zero Fat Milk
- Protein Shake (31 grams of protein)
- Cereal (2 packets)
For his final middle-of-the-night snack, Kalecinski had a sandwich, protein shake, and cereal to top off his daily carbs.
Kalecinski heard the public’s outcry for more size loud and clear. 1990s bodybuilding star Shawn Ray was among the biggest voices to urge him to play the size game. According to “Sugar,” the German native needs a year to pack on mass, and if he does, he would threaten the top six at the Olympia.
It looks like Kalecinski is using the time away from competing to bring improvements to the stage. Should he announce the next bodybuilding contest he’s entering, Fitness Volt will have the story.
