The time has finally arrived for contenders to show their best at 2023 Mr. Olympia, located in Orlando, Florida inside the Orange County Convention Center from November 2-5. Men’s 212 Bodybuilding competitors met for prejudging at 9:30 a.m. on November 3.

The Men’s 212 Bodybuilding division continues to prove itself as one of the IFBB Pro League’s most competitive. Last year, Derek Lunsford was the reigning champ, but he accepted a special invite to compete in the Open, which he took full advantage of with a second-place finish.

In his absence, Shaun Clarida cemented himself as a two-time 212 Olympia (2020, 2022) after regaining his title. Aiming to break Flex Lewis‘ record of seven 212 Olympias, Clarida brought his best in prejudging to separate himself from the pack. With names like Angel Calderon Frias and Keone Pearson in the mix, the pressure in the convention center was palpable.

During prejudging, the reigning two-time champ Shaun Clarida put on a show. His muscle fullness was unrivaled though Keone Pearson’s shape was impossible to ignore. Clarida’s conditioning seemed to be on another level today.

Steve Weinberger ran the contenders through several poses and Pearson fought tooth and nail for center stage. Judges gave both men a closer look and it will be interesting to see how the finals conclude given their impressive posing routines.

The final call-out featured Shaun Clarida and Keone Pearson going to war. Pearson held his own, especially in the back lat spread pose, though ‘The Giant Killer’s’ side poses were extremely dominant. Fans look forward to the finals tonight!
