Bodybuilding’s biggest attraction — the 2023 Mr. Olympia — has returned to Orlando, Florida this year from November 2-5 inside the Orange County Convention Center. Athletes from the Men’s Physique category took part in prejudging Saturday morning, November 4 at 11:30 am Eastern.
With how competitive this division has become, fans were eager to see how the action played out. Last year, Erin Banks shocked the world by winning both the Arnold Classic and Men’s Physique Olympia titles after defeating Brandon Hendrickson in a close contest in Sin City.
Gambling on himself, Banks took his talents to the 2023 Legion Sports Fest Pro last month but was unable to stop Kyron Holden from taking gold. With Hendrickson, and Holden after Banks’ title, it made for a high-pressure event.
During the prejudging rounds, it was a war and a handful of competitors looked to have brought all-time best physiques. Erin Banks was attempting to fend off Ryan Terry, whose midsection was on another level today as well as the former champ Brandon Hendrickson and dark horse Emanuel Hunter.
In the last call-out, Erin Banks, Ryan Terry, Brandon Hendrickson, and Emanuel Hunter jockeyed for position. By the end of the round, it appeared Hendrickson and Terry were leading for two reasons: their back development and how long they stood closest to center stage.
