2023 Ms. Olympia Prejudging Report

The 2023 Ms. Olympia competition is happening from November 2-5 in Orlando, Florida inside the Orange County Convention Center. Athletes from the Women’s Bodybuilding division gathered for prejudging on Saturday, November 3 at 1:30 p.m.

This is the fourth Ms. Olympia competition since the division was re-introduced to the schedule in 2020. Andrea Shaw, the reigning three-time Ms. Olympia, followed her usual routine in the lead-up to this event. She made a detour at the 2023 Rising Phoenix show where she overcame Angela Yeo for a third championship.

This weekend, Shaw has set her sights on a fourth Women’s Bodybuilding Olympia title. As previously mentioned, the consistency of Angela Yeo continues to pay off as she inches closer to Shaw. Additionally, Helle Trevino will aim to capture her first Ms. Olympia win despite sustaining a shoulder injury last year.

Similar to the recent 2023 Rising Phoenix Pro, prejudging saw the reigning titleholder, Andrea Shaw shine with symmetry, proportions, and deeply separated quads. She was once again pushed by Angela Yeo, whose abs, quad sweeps, and shoulders looked to be on another level today.

With Yeo continuing to add size to her frame, she gave Shaw all she could handle throughout the show. However, if Shaw can produce an even harder look in the finals, matching her muscularity will be a challenging task. The final call-out saw the judges take a closer look at Andrea Shaw and Angela Yeo, who appear to be fighting for first heading into tonight.
