2023 Shawn Ray Hawaiian Classic Pro Results

The 2023 Shawn Ray Hawaiian Classic Pro took place in Honolulu, Hawaii on November 18. This event was a 2024 Mr. Olympia qualifier for the Classic Physique, Bikini, and Wellness divisions. 

Despite the 2023 Mr. Olympia contest wrapping up less than two weeks ago, athletes were already eying qualifications for next year’s extravaganza. During the Olympia pay-per-view broadcast, Olympia President Dan Solomon revealed next year’s event will return to Las Vegas, Nevada inside the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 10-13. 

It was a thrilling night in Hawaii, and with Shawn Ray’s name attached to this event, the talent did not disappoint. Logan Franklin took over in Classic Physique for the win. Then, in Bikini, Ashley Kaltwasser claimed gold. To close out the show, Hye Yoon Kim earned first place in Wellness!

Classic Physique

Competitors met in Hawaii for a shot at qualifying for the 2024 Mr. Olympia. Logan Franklin, a popular talent, known for his posing skills, brought a balanced look and displayed improved conditioning from his last competition, which came at the 2023 Legion Sports Fest Pro in second place.

Conversely, Dyon Santiago commanded center stage during the event. Santiago last appeared at the 2020 NPC National Championships in second place. Ultimately, Logan Franklin earned the title and his Olympia qualification. Dyon Santiago and Kristen Garcia finished second and third.

Bikini

The winningest Bikini talent ever — Ashley Kaltwasser, was back in action this weekend, looking to earn gold in Hawaii. Kaltwasser just shared the world’s biggest stage at the 2023 Olympia, where she blew fans away in third place. With fullness, symmetry, and the ideal figure, Kaltwasser is one of the toughest outs for competitors in Bikini. Meanwhile, Kate Carrol also was in the running for gold. In the end, Ashley Kaltwasser emerged victorious. Kate Carroll and Yurika Shigemoto claimed second and third place honors.

Wellness

Wellness athletes shined in Hawaii at the Shawn Ray Classic. Specifically, Hye Yoon Kim and Chenqi Liu stood out, especially during the finals. Hye Yoon Kim last appeared on stage at the 2022 Shawn Ray Hawaiian Classic in sixth place. 

As for Chenqi Liu, she also looked to have made improvements to her overall presentation. Her last show came in first place at the 2021 Milwaukee Pro. After some heated comparisons, Hye Yoon Kim won the show. Chenqi Liu and Priscilla Lynd claimed second and third place.
