The 60th Joe Weider’s Fitness and Performance Olympia Weekend is here from October 10-13 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mass monsters from the Men’s Open Bodybuilding class met on Friday evening for prejudging inside the Las Vegas Convention Center. Samson Dauda, Derek Lunsford, and Hadi Choopan are leading as we head into Day 2 Saturday!
With this historic anniversary upon us, competitors were eager to shock the world in hopes of claiming the sport’s most coveted title. In 2023, Derek Lunsford made history after defeating Hadi Choopan and Samson Dauda to become the first two-division Mr. Olympia in bodybuilding.
Samson Dauda‘s fullness and freak factor were impossible to overlook during prejudging. He appeared confident, in control of his abs, and shocked the audience with major improvements to his back, traps, shoulders, and arms. Derek Lunsford also brought a tremendous look and stood out with density thanks to his signature back double biceps pose.
In addition, Hadi Choopan commanded the stage and held his own throughout this first portion of this competition, showcasing a striated chest. There is certainly some mystery surrounding who will walk away victorious on Day Two Saturday night, however, Choopan was in the center as tonight’s show wrapped up.
