After his successful qualification for the Mr. Olympia roster, having won two shows, Nathan De Asha faced one of his biggest disappointments this year. The Liverpool-based athlete had easily become one of the major threats this year for the Men’s Open division. However, he announced in an Instagram post that this year, fans won’t witness him on stage since he was denied entry due to visa-related issues.

De Asha secured first place at the 2023 Flex Weekend Pro and the 2023 Sheru Classic in France. His on-stage rivalry with Regan Grimes bolstered his popularity, earning him a dedicated fanbase eagerly anticipating his performance at this year’s Olympia. Renowned for his unwavering dedication to winning the Sandow trophy, De Asha has won the admiration of fans worldwide with his exceptional conditioning and mindset.

Why was Nathan De Asha denied entry?

In a detailed post, De Asha explained what went wrong and the major blow that changed the course of his training. According to the bodybuilding icon, despite having proper paperwork, officials denied his entry.

“Guys i thought this was the year i could come back to the big stage, had what i believed to be all the correct paperwork in order to be denied by a bitter salty lady is heart breaking. On the way here i was excited like a child now am sat in a hotel waiting to go home with the worst thoughts in my head possible.”

Yet, De Asha wanted to remain positive and believe that he could come back better and stronger. Despite being on the edge, he didn’t want this to be his last championship.

“Before some say your there run off don’t go back the airport believe me ive thought about it but dont want this to be my last Olympia and want to do it right.”

But his emotions got the best of him at one point. He begged the Mr. Olympia organizers for any kind of assistance possible

“We cant control where we are born even as a kid getting up to no good think this far ahead but yet we are punished.

Its wrong in so many ways. On that stage you will be shocked the amount of athletes who have to get there using extreme meaures n illegally. This shouldnt be the case. We need help. Mr olympia needs to help us.”

De Asha was one of the promising contenders who previously couldn’t participate in the 2022 Mr. Olympia due to a nasty bicep tear. This year, before nabbing the first place at the Flex Weekend Pro, De Asha even confessed the extents to which he could go to win in a podcast.

“‘We might do a little push.’ I was born with no food in my belly. I can suffer, I can starve. I’ve been there before. A few fucking hours is nothing.”

His recent physique update, two weeks before the Olympia, had fans gawking over his fine conditioning and separated legs. In fact, many touted him to stand in the top 10 after seeing his recent transformation. The Mr. Olympia stage hasn’t witnessed De Asha since 2018, and unfortunately, will have to wait until next year to watch him work his magic.
