The 2023 Mr. Olympia is set to take place this weekend November 2-5 in Orlando, Florida. All 11 divisions are full of talent, but the Men’s Open headliner is sure to steal the show. Many connoisseurs of the sport have given their opinion on who will take the gold and this now includes Ronnie Coleman, who just gave his official top six predictions in a recent YouTube video.
Ronnie Coleman is easily one of the greatest of all time after being crowned Mr. Olympia for eight consecutive years. Following the leave of Dorian Yates, Coleman would dominate the stage from 1998 to 2005. He consistently defended the title against big names such as Flex Wheeler and Nasser El Sonbaty until 2006 when Jay Cutler cemented himself as the new sheriff in town.
After his illustrious tenure in the sport, he has still remained an influential voice in the bodybuilding community. Coleman is an inspiration to all while he continues to maintain his fitness and has pumped iron in the gym alongside fellow bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In just a few days the 2023 Mr. Olympia will be taking place. As the biggest competition in the sport, bodybuilder’s train ruthlessly for their opportunity to prove their worth as one of the best of the best. Many veterans as well as supporters of the sport have come out and foretold how they see the show ending.

Bodybuilding Legend Ronnie Coleman Predicts A Shake Up At The 2023 Mr. Olympia
While anything can happen on the Olympia stage, it is still exciting to make a guess as to who will be named champion this year. Ronnie Coleman weighed in on the fun and gave fans his top six, explaining his reasoning below.
These are his predictions;
- Winner — Derek Lunsford
- Second Place — Hadi Choopan
- Third Place — Samson Dauda
- Fourth Place — Nick Walker
- Fifth Place — Andrew Jacked
- Sixth Place — Brandon Curry
Before Ronnie Coleman provided his number-one pick for the 2023 Mr. Olympia, he made a shocking statement claiming;
“This is going to be one of the biggest upsets in the sport of bodybuilding ever”
Derek Lunsford
Coleman provided an explanation for each athlete and why he placed them where he did.
“Derek Lunsford is going to win this whole thing coming out of the 212 all the way to the open becoming the best bodybuilder in the world in 2023. He’s gonna win on size, conditioning, most importantly he has the shape that is way ahead of all the other guys in the show” Coleman said.
Hadi Choopan
“Normally when a Mr. Olympia gets in first place he is there for at least two or sometimes three years at the most but I’m going to go out on a limb and say not the case this year. Hadi is going to be second.”
Samson Dauda
“Third, my man Samson made all those improvements. Won some big shows this year, the Arnold Classic, the second biggest show in the world. With all the improvements he’s made every single year and at every single show gonna get third and it’s gonna be a tight close race between those three guys.”
Nick Walker
“Lot of people probably think Nick Walker gonna do a whole lot better than fourth but I don’t see it that’s why I got him in fourth because like I said before he is putting on too much weight too fast for his age.”
Andrew Jacked
“Fifth place is going to Andrew Jacked. Another guy who has made a lot of improvements, just needs to make a few more and he’ll be in that top three real soon.
Brandon Curry
“Former Mr. Olympia Brandon Curry is going to be in sixth because like I said, Brandon has seen some better days and his conditioning has not been there the last almost three years since he won Mr. Olympia.”
“That’s how I see the 2023 Mr. Olympia brought to you by eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman. Yeah, Buddy!”
Ronnie Coleman isn’t the only influential figure in bodybuilding to share their predictions for the 2023 Mr. Olympia. Milos Sarcev has Samson Dauda taking first, Derek Lunsford in second, and Hadi Choopan in third. While Flex Wheeler on the other hand has Samson in first, Derek second, and Nick Walker as third.
Regardless of who is crowned the winner at the 2023 Mr. Olympia, all 11 divisions are stacked with talent and have the potential to shake up the IFBB Pro League. This weekend will be a monumental show of power and conditioning where only the best of the best will be named the champion.
