Michal ‘Krizo’ Krizanek is not currently prepping for a show, but that hasn’t stopped him from pushing the limits during a recent training session. In an offering presented on YouTube, Krizo gave fans a look into the supplements he takes during the off-season and smashed an arms, chest, and calves training session.
It’s been non-stop action for Michal Krizo since his departure from the IFBB Elite Pro League. He switched to the NPC and quickly earned his IFBB Pro card. From there, he won a Pro show and qualified for his first Mr. Olympia contest in 2022. Embracing the pressure, Krizo debuted in 12th place.

Sporting some of the biggest biceps in the league, fans and bodybuilding veterans alike were blown away by Krizo’s physique. In 2023, Krizo won the Empro Classic Pro, again securing qualification for the sport’s ‘Super Bowl’ of the year.
In a massive jump up the rankings, Krizo shined en route to securing seventh place, defeating threats like Tonio Burton, Regan Grimes, and Charles Griffen at the 2023 Mr. Olympia. While he hoped to qualify early for 2024, he was denied at the recent EVLS Prague Pro by Samson Dauda. With time to reset for another season, Krizo took fans through an average day of training without a contest on the schedule.
Michal Krizo Talks Supplements, Dropsets and Biggest Bodybuilding Idol
Filmed at the Gou Gym in Prievidza, Slovakia, Krizo started by discussing his supplement stack, and kept it simple:
“Just this [Hot Blood pre-workout]. It’s pre-workout. This shot is a double dose. You should take half of it before training and the second half during training.
But I take the whole thing before and another one mid-workout. Us big boys, we do it like this. And then also VitarGo during the workout.”
“50 grams during the workout. I already know that half a scoop is about 50 grams and the protein shake after the workout. I don’t have it here now.”
As for dropsets, Krizo specified that he only uses them when he’s training for a contest.

“I don’t [use dropsets], only in prep. Sometimes. And it’s always just dropset of one exercise per given muscle group,” said Krizo. “Four times right now [is how often I’m training in the off-season]. Less exercise less sets. More talking. I keep talking.”
When asked about his preference between having a training partner or working out alone, Krizo favored exercising in solitude with no distractions.
“Alone. Alone. Alone. Only Solo. It’s good sometimes if you wanna talk, but for the training no, training just solo,” said Krizo.
Then, Krizo named the biggest bodybuilding idol he had when he was younger.

The 2024 Mr. Olympia competition will return to Las Vegas, Nevada next October 10-13 but as of this writing, Krizo will be unable to attend. However, the Slovakian mass monster will have several months to map out another shot at qualifying.
Fans await Michal Krizo’s return to a bodybuilding stage. It’s evident he’s more determined than ever to once again improve atop the sport’s biggest stage, but first, he will have to win a Pro show.
