Jake Paul will continue his foray into combat sports, having signed up to fight one of the most feared men in all of boxing, ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson. On Thursday, March 7, 2024, it was confirmed that Paul and Tyson will meet in the ring on July 20 live on Netflix.
Jake Paul, a YouTuber-turned-boxer, continues to make strides in the sport thanks to his explosive power and agility. Tyson, 30 years older than Paul, will aim to put another loss on the budding star’s boxing record, which currently stands at 9-1 with his only defeat coming from a split decision loss to Tommy Fury last February.
Paul has tested his skills against a handful of UFC stars including former Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz, and Middleweight great Anderson Silva, all of whom he defeated. Entering this bout, he holds momentum thanks to recent knockout wins over Andre August and Ryan Bourland.
Multiple sources have confirmed that this highly anticipated boxing match will take place in the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Considering Tyson’s all-time great status, decorated résumé, and current athleticism, he stands a solid shot at dispatching Paul inside the ring. Tyson, known for his power and speed, last boxed against legend Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, where he enjoyed success in an exhibition bout. As for his last Pro showing, Tyson lost in 2005 to Kevin McBride.

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul Boxing Match Slated for July 20
According to Tyson, the contract has been signed and he described the upcoming boxing match as a ‘full circle moment’ for his and Paul’s career.
“He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT.
It’s a full-circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch, as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones, and now I plan to finish him,” states Mike Tyson.
Paul also teased his upcoming boxing match, coining it the ‘biggest fight of the 21st century.’
