Fan hype surrounding the 2024 Dubai Pro has reached new highs as Rubiel ‘Neckzilla’ Mosquera finalizes his prep for his first contest of the season. In a recent The Menace Podcast shared July 22, 2024, on YouTube, Milos Sarcev, Dennis James, and Chris Cormier liken Mosquera to a Ronnie Coleman-type monster before discussing his chances of success this weekend.
Mosquera is among the 2024 Dubai Pro favorites despite a relative lack of experience in the IFBB Pro League. His last showing served as his debut and he exceeded expectations after placing third behind Samson Dauda and Michal Krizo at the 2023 EVLS Prague Pro.
In addition to ‘Neckzilla,’ the Middle East will welcome frontrunners Nathan De Asha, William Bonac, and Behrooz Tabani, who have all fought each other on stage recently at a handful of European shows. Unlike most Pro contests in the circuit, a considerable cash prize of $100,000 is reserved for the winner in Dubai, adding massive stakes to the nearing competition.

“Rubiel is Ronnie Coleman-type of monster for sure,” said Milos Sarcev. “Overwhelming. If you say wow, it is. He’s going to probably overwhelm everybody on stage.”
“That’s what I expect,” said Dennis James.
Chris Cormier trains ‘Neckzilla’ and mentions that he has improved, specifically the striations in his glutes. Dennis James believes Mosquera’s size will make all other competitors appear ‘regular sized.’
“He’s got striated glutes to boot,” adds Chris Cormier.
“I said it last week, he’s going to make everyone look regular sized,” said James.
While Sarcev accepts that Behrooz Tabani cannot contend with the sheer size of Mosquera, he does believe the Iranian native has a chance with his signature conditioning. Sarcev also credited Mosquera for his dangerous side poses, which show off his freaky density and thick muscle.
“Behrooz cannot beat him in size department, in wow department, of course, so he’s going to have to be in shape and conditioning, right? If he’s conditioned that’s going to neutralize then it’s going be shape or size. He’s dangerous in side poses, he’s super overwhelming. Holy shit,” Sarcev said.
Although they plan to compete against each other this weekend, Nathan De Asha and Rubiel Mosquera put their ambitions aside briefly for an intense arm day workout in preparation for the Dubai Pro. Both men appear on track to bring career-best looks to the stage in the coming days.
Should Rubiel Mosquera win the 2024 Dubai Pro, he will earn his qualification for the 2024 Mr. Olympia. His participation would add a layer of mystery to the event, which is set for a return to Las Vegas, Nevada October 10-13.
