Keone Pearson refuses to let even minor issues stand in the way of another 212 Olympia title on the horizon. In a recent Instagram story, he revealed that he underwent gynecomastia surgery.
Keone Pearson‘s career has exploded in the last two years. After winning the 2023 Texas Pro dominantly, he proceeded to the Mr. Olympia, ousting Shaun Clarida from the throne to win his maiden title. From there, Pearson continued to put his head down and make improvements, which paid off with a second 212 Olympia title in 2024.
While there have been rumors that Pearson might try his hand in the Open class, he seemingly shut down those rumors. Instead, he plans to focus on 212 and elevate the category by any means necessary, from prize money to its inclusion in the annual Arnold Classic.

Gyno or gynecomastia is enlarged breast tissue in men caused by imbalanced hormones. This condition can often be due to the use of steroids and is usually easily managed or treated, which is exactly what Keone Pearson has done. He doesn’t want any issue albeit minor, holding him back from future success in the division.
“Gyno surgery was complete. Did not talk about me doing this but it was something that needed to be done.
My gyno was very minor. Nothing big at all, but I do believe if you do have gyno get it out now. Don’t wait later to get it. The things that we do for bodybuilding, but it has to be done” Pearson shared.
Keone Pearson is far from the only IFBB Pro to experience gyno. Among those who have suffered from gyno is Men’s Open standout James Hollingshead, who has previously had surgery to address the condition. ‘The Shed’ is now preparing to compete in the 2025 Arnold Classic, with veterans like Lee Priest picking him as a dark horse to win, proving that gynecomastia won’t severely impact a bodybuilding career.
Aiming to once again dominate the 212 division, Keone Pearson is focused on his preparations as he refines his physique. Fans can look forward to the improvements Pearson is sure to bring to the prestigious stage in 2025.
