John Haack is, in the opinion of many, one of the greatest powerlifters in history. Well, to everyone’s joy, John has revealed that he will be making his next appearance soon. In fact, he has started his preparation for the 2025 ABS Clash of Titans 3, which will take place on April 19th in Dublin. Well, the elite powerlifter recently shared an Instagram post, showcasing his new 367.5-kilogram (810.2-pound) raw Squat Personal Record.

John Haack’s deadlift and bench press have always been his more prominent lifts, but the squat is where he has made the most progress in recent years. Well, Haack is now continuing down this path, as seen in his recent training session.

After loading 367.5 kilograms (810.2 pounds) to the barbell, John Haack put on a pair of knee sleeves, wrist wraps, and a lifting belt. All of the mentioned pieces of equipment are allowed in the raw division of powerlifting. Haack then set up a high-bar technique, as opposed to the low-bar that many powerlifters use.

When it comes to the lift, John Haack did not struggle too much, considering that it was a PR attempt. The bar did appear to tilt slightly to one side, which could have caused stability issues for him. However, John pushed through and locked out his heaviest raw squat ever.

It is important to note that John Haack’s recent 367.5-kilogram (810.2-pound) raw squat PR also exceeds the U90KG All-Time World Record. However, while the 90-kilogram weight class is where John usually competes, it is unclear what his current bodyweight is. In turn, depending on how much he weighs at his upcoming appearance, John could potentially push the Raw Squat World Record.

John Haack still has four weeks left to prepare for the 2025 ABS Clash of Titans 3, meaning that there is still time to push for new personal records. Moreover, the overall champion from the last year’s edition of the competition, Dave Richardson, has withdrawn due to injury, leaving the throne up for grabs. So, there is no doubt that John will be motivated to take the gold medal.

John Haack has been competing in powerlifting for 12 years so far, during which he took part in 30 sanctioned competitions. He took the win on 26 occasions, showing just how dominant he is. In addition to that, John has set countless World Records across multiple weight classes.
