Wesley Vissers plans to bring his all-time best physique to the 2026 Mr. Olympia. In a July 31 YouTube video, bodybuilding coach Hany Rambod guided him through an intense chest workout less than eight weeks before stepping onstage.
Vissers has emerged as a top Classic Physique contender in the IFBB Pro League. His Classic lines, massive biceps, and tapered waist have drawn comparisons to bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger. “The Dutch Oak” has yet to win the Mr. Olympia contest, but that could change soon.
He’s kept busy throughout the season, competing at three shows. He won gold at the 2026 Arnold Classic Ohio, then picked up another big victory at the Detroit Pro. However, his momentum took a hit at the Arnold Classic UK, where he narrowly lost to Mike Sommerfeld. Looking ahead, Vissers is training with good company as preparations kick off.

Standing Multi Fly Machine (chest)
During the session, Rambod explained why different exercises and angles can help bring out new details in a physique.
“Being able to hone in on some different exercises because he’s still at that time, where he can take that back home, and still utilize some of the tips and a little bit of the different angles that could possibly make that little bit of difference because again, everybody is so phenomenal at the Olympia; that little two percent can be the difference between one or two placings.”
Power Smith Dual Upper Chest Machine
Rambod kept Vissers’ weight from getting too heavy so he could practice the movement pattern.
“That’s the first warm-up set. We want to feel every machine out so you really understand where it feels in the grand scheme of things. You don’t want to end up going heavy, but if it’s light, you don’t want to end up getting fatigued doing 15-20 reps. We are trying to go to failure eventually on that working set.”
Lower Chest Fly Machine
They moved on to the lower-chest fly machine, focusing on slow, controlled repetitions.
“A little bit goes a long way,” said Rambod.
Cable Crossover Machine
On cable crossovers, Rambod instructed Vissers to bring his arms together for maximum tension on the pecs. After Vissers practiced posing, he showed off his physique:

Vissers has been open about his training strategies for the 2026 Mr. Olympia. He broke down three go-to exercises he’s included in his routine to build an ‘Arnold-like’ chest. During the workout, Vissers prioritized the stretch and a deeper range of motion.
Vissers continues to sharpen his conditioning weeks before competing. The 2026 Mr. Olympia is scheduled for September 24-27 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
