Jeremy Buendia isn’t ready to walk away from the sport just yet. In a recent YouTube video, shared on August 2, 2025, he detailed a full day of eating in preparation for his final Mr. Olympia contest.
Buendia remains the most successful Men’s Physique Olympia champion in the sport’s history. He held the prestigious title from 2014–2017, defeating mainstays of the category, including Sadik Hadzovic and Brandon Hendrickson.
After a period of inactivity, Buendia mounted a successful return at the 2023 Mr. Olympia, where he secured eighth place. Initially, he contemplated doing the 2025 Arnold Classic, but decided against it since he didn’t see a path to victory. Instead, he used the time to rebuild his physique and announced his intention to compete and win a final Mr. Olympia title this October.
Jeremy Buendia’s Full Day of Eating Less Than 6 Weeks from 2025 Mr. Olympia
Meal 1
- 150 grams of strawberries
- 1/2 cup of oatmeal
- sugar-free lemonade
- 2 scoops of whey
Buendia began the day with a whey protein shake, blended oatmeal, and strawberries.

“We’re going to get this down on the drive over to the massage therapist. We have a leg day today,” he shared.
Meal 2
- FlexPro Meal
Following up, Buendia enjoyed a pre-made meal before training.
Meal 3 – Post-Workout
- Lean Body protein shake
Buendia refueled with a protein shake after leg training and discussed the hunt for a fifth Men’s Physique Olympia title.
“Our focus is on the 2025 Olympia, and getting our fifth title. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get there. Every single day I’m going to do what it takes and I’m going to outwork every single one of you guys.”
Meal 4
- 180 grams of Verde chicken
- 200 grams of rice
Next, he ate his first animal protein of the day at 3 p.m. and paired it with white rice as his carb source.
“It’s a Verde chicken my wife makes in the Crockpot, tastes delicious, it’s easy to eat. Macros are great. The Verde sauce is next to nothing, like tomatillos, garlic.”
Meal 5 – Sushi Refeed
- Nigiri with pepperfin tuna
- Tempura
- Benjamin roll (eel on top, tempura shrimp inside)
- Annie roll (tuna on top)
- Tuna slider (deep-fried scallop on top, avocado wrap)
For his refeed, he joined his family at a restaurant for a sushi dinner.
“I don’t think I’m going to have my last meal. I got a lot of food in. That was five meals today. I am eating six meals but based on how much I ate tonight on the refeed, it’s already 10 o’clock at night, probably going to go to be in a little bit, not going to eat that last meal.”
If Buendia hopes to claim gold at the 2025 Mr. Olympia, he’ll have to get through some high-profile threats. Reigning two-time Men’s Physique Olympia Ryan Terry aims to replicate his look from last year, while Hendrickson and Erin Banks are also eager to regain gold.
In his final outing, Buendia plans to bring the best physique of his career. The 2025 Mr. Olympia is set for October 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
