Stefi Cohen has finally returned to powerlifting years after stepping away, and her comeback proved to be exceptional. She appeared at the 2025 IPL Olympia Pro on October 10th in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, Stefi managed to set a 185-kilogram (407.9-pound) raw squat U60KG IPL World Record.

Stefi Cohen opened up with 165 kilograms (363.8 pounds), making the squat look easy and showing that she is back to her best. Cohen then moved on to her second attempt of 177.5 kilograms (391.3 pounds), which ended up being even more impressive. Moreover, it marked a new World Record.

Stefi Cohen set a clear goal for herself on the final attempt since she wanted to further improve the World Record. So, she loaded 185 kilograms (407.9 pounds) on the bar, after which she put on a lifting belt and knee sleeves to prepare for her lift. The lift itself was quite smooth, as Stefi did not seem to struggle at all.

*Ellen Stein held the previous U60KG IPL Raw Squat World Record of 175-kg (385.8-lb). She set the record at the 2024 IPL North American Championships.

Stefi Cohen’s Full Performance

Stefi Cohen weighed in at 59.7 kilograms (131.6 pounds) for the 2025 IPL Olympia Pro. She competed in the classic raw division, which prevented her from using knee wraps, suits, or other pieces of equipment that could have significantly improved her performance.

Stefi Cohen missed multiple attempts during her performance. She was unsuccessful in bench pressing 92.5 kilograms (203.9 pounds), which prompted her to completely scratch her third bench attempt.

As for the deadlift, Stefi Cohen pulled 200 kilograms (440.9 pounds) off the floor. She then successfully lifted 202.5 kilograms (446.4 pounds), but received red lights from the judges who noticed downward motion at one point of her attempt. For her final attempt, Stefi made a bold decision to load 207.5 kilograms (457.5 pounds) but was unable to reach lockout.

Interestingly, Stefi Cohen wore a shirt with her mug shot and the word “Acquitted” imprinted on it. For reference, Stefi was accused of distributing a woman’s nude photos online but was found not guilty.

Stefi Cohen originally started competing in powerlifting back in 2015 and quickly made a name for herself. She claimed multiple high-profile titles and set a number of All-Time World Records. She ultimately stopped competing in 2020 and switched over to boxing.

Stefi Cohen’s boxing record was equally impressive, as she had six fights over the course of her career. She won four, with one of those coming in the way of knockout. Stefi also lost one bout via a unanimous decision, while one other match resulted in a majority draw.

This year opened a new chapter for Steif Cohen, as she decided to return to powerlifting. Well, judging from her newest World Record, it is clear that she picked up exactly where she left off.
