Following in a father’s footsteps is pretty normal in the bodybuilding and entertainment industry.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Joseph Baena, 21, seems to be inspired by his father’s legendary physique. He took to weightlifting and has made it known that he is serious about his fitness goals.
Baena has quite the social media following and regularly posts videos of him hitting the gym.
“It’s only the beginning”
He posted these words under his video and he seems to be off to a great start at such a young age. The direction of his career path seems to favor acting, as Baena has made it known he wants to take on leading roles and become “big” in Hollywood.

Well, he certainly has the support, especially from his father who really changed action movies since his days playing the “Terminator”.
Joseph Baena and Arnold Schwarzenegger seem to share a close bond as seen in the photo of both in front of World’s gym on Schwarzenegger’s 71st birthday.
“Happy Birthday to the man that’s always pumped! Love you dad,” Baena wrote on his Instagram post.
Baena is the son of Schwarzenegger and his former housekeeper Mildred Baena,so this may be why we haven’t really heard of him until recently. Maria Shriver and her children have gotten all the attention previously until Schwarzenegger admitted to being Baena’s father.
Joseph will have to share the spotlight with his other siblings. Especially Patrick Schwarzenegger (former bodybuilder’s older son from Maria) who is also following in his father’s footsteps in regards to acting.
Schwarzenegger had the following to say about his son Patrick in regards to his physique and career…
“Patrick, he works out every day, but he doesn’t want to get too big because of the acting, because he’s being sought after now for romantic roles, not action roles,” Schwarzenegger said. “But eventually, when he gets to be like 30, 35, he will go get bigger and then do more action movies. But I love seeing [my sons] work out and being into it. It’s a great feeling.”
So will we see the two brothers in film together? It’s very possible and would even be pretty neat to see the two different physiques similar to what Arnold Schwarzenegger brought to film. It’s a tough task for sure but Joseph Baena definitely has the right mindset and determination to do big things!
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s other three children with his ex wife Maria Shriver are Katherine, 28, Christina, 27, and Christopher, 21.
