Blessing Awodibu was looking forward to being able to put his hard work on display at the Arnold Classic Australia. Now that the event is no longer happening, he gives a frustrated look at what could have been.
Awodibu is one of the most popular bodybuilding prospects competing right now. The combo of his charming personality and massive physique have led the Irishman to over 1.5 million followers on social media. However, he was truly getting back to his bodybuilding routes, in the prep for the Arnold Classic Australia.
This is why Awodibu was heartbroken by the news that the Arnold Classic Australia was postponed. Despite initial reports that they would continue as planned, the government intervened, shutting down large public gatherings. This is a reasonable response, given the increasing concerns of the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Blessing Awodibu decided to vent his frustrations about the situation in an Instagram post. Here, he gives a glimpse of the imposing physique he was prepared to bring to the event. Furthermore, he explained how disappointing it was to hear that this was all a waste.
“Post fasted cardio checkin this morning – at my lowest body weight fully depleted, I was so pumped and ready to battle with the best in the world at the @arnoldsportsau but it’s a damn shame it got cancelled due to COVID-19.
We still getting shit done though and nothing gone stop me, even without a COACH. #boogiemancamp

Not only that, but a few days prior Awodibu gave a look at his biceps. The amount of vascularity in his arms is frankly unreal. It really shows how hard he was working to prepare for the show.
“Sh–s getting ridiculously nasty 😷 over here must be Coronavirus 😷 I’m infected 😷”
Although it is perfectly reasonable to be just as frustrated as Blessing Awodibu is in these trying times, it is important to remember what is at stake. Keeping the risk of spreading this virus at a minimum is more important than sports of any kind. Nevertheless, his frustration is completely understandable.
