About These Top Lists

Career and title top lists are calculated directly from the contest results in our archive, which covers pro and amateur competition back to 1934, not hand-entered totals.

Olympia and Arnold Classic title counts use authoritative, name-independent rules so the flagship records are correct, and duplicate source rows for the same athlete, division, and year are de-duplicated before counting.

Physical records (tallest, shortest, heaviest) and age-at-first-title lists are ranked only from the athletes with verified bio data in our database.

Each of those pages states the size of the data set it draws from, so it reflects what we can confirm rather than implying a complete all-time ranking.
