As two of the best CrossFit athletes in the world, Brooke Ence and Mat Fraser are always looking unstoppable in training. However they both seem to be taking things up a notch lately.
As the four-time winner of the CrossFit Games, Fraser is used to being considered the Fittest Man on Earth. That being said, it would appear that he has not lost any motivation as this year’s Games quickly approaches. In fact, as he showed recently on Instagram, he has been amping things up with his workouts, and that seems to be paying off, as he look bricked up doing rows.
“Kicking off the training week with some rowing intervals in the garage with my sweetheart.”
Just as motivated as Mat Fraser, Brooke Ence has been looking unstoppable recently, too. The Wonder Woman actress has only competed one time at the Games, but she is still a highly regarded figure in the sport. She showed how fit she is with a few videos to her own Instagram, getting her own training in. In fact, she has been taking to sharing workouts for her fans to try, including this video of the suitcase carry. In the clip, she does an excellent job explaining the proper form of the exercise, and how to scale it for difficulty.

“The Single Arm suitcase Carry is a simple, effective exercise that targets the muscles in your core, shoulders, upper back and arms.”
Now, let’s suppose that you were going to be doing some overhead work instead; perhaps the clean and jerk or some toes to bar sets. Well Ence has you covered there is as well. She also provided an excellent warm up that you can do with rings or bands, that will loosen your shoulders up and help you avoid injury.
“Need a good warmup before any overhead work? All you need are some rings or TRX bands!”
This warm up sees Brooke doing 3-5 reps, pulling herself up with a Y-position, then a V-position, and finally a W-position. The goal here is to be able to transition to all three without taking a break. She explains to adjust the reps to allow you to do that.
It is always a nice reminder that both Brooke Ence and Mat Fraser are working just as hard as the rest of us to keep their fitness up. They are both good motivation to train, even if you are not quite feeling up to it. In spite of uncertainty in the sport, they are both steadfast figures of fitness inspiration.
