CrossFit is branded as being a way for people of any background to find the best level of fitness they can. However, what may come as a shock to the everyman who likes to do the WOD, is that there are some big-time celebs who could be doing the same thing.
These A-listers have made their love for CrossFit very clear. Although some of them are already in amazing condition, it is quite shocking to think that these people use the same training as people like Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey. From a Miss America winner to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, this is a breakdown of the top 20 celebrities who love CrossFit.
20. Mallory Hagan
2013 Miss America winner Mallory Hagan first started trying CrossFit, after seeing her boyfriend enjoying it. Initially, she was looking for a way to lose a few pounds, and to prepare for pageants. It was not until she began doing the exercises that she truly started to fall in love with it. It clearly worked well for her too, as she was crowned the most beautiful woman in the United States.
In particular, Hagan likes to do wall balls, one of the most common, but most difficult exercises CrossFit has to offer. It involves weighted balls, that you squat, and toss into the air, before catching and repeating. She enjoys the difficulty and pace of the workout and considers it her favorite.

19. Jack Osbourne
Jack Osbourne is the son of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. He was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, which left him looking to find different ways to keep himself as healthy as possible. This is where he found CrossFit to be helpful, as it assists in controlling the MS. Moreover, he loves the intensity of the exercises and says he feels great after completing one.
Jack has actually become a bit of an ambassador for CrossFit over the years. He has even worked with Reebok on box openings for places like CrossFit Sunset. Specifically, he likes to complete the Workout Of the Day (WOD), which he finds to typically be difficult but good.
18. Vanessa Hudgens
Former Disney Channel star turned singer and Hollywood big shot, Vanessa Hudgens has had some roles which required her to be in great shape. It was due to this, and the guidance of her coach Logan Hood, that she began to find and develop a love for CrossFit. Since then, she has never been the same.

Max Greenfield is best known for his role as Schmidt on the television show New Girl, which sees him going without a shirt rather often. Therefore, it is quite clear that he stays in top physical condition. However, what many may not know, is that he does this through rigorous use of CrossFit.
Greenfield trains four to five days a week, with his favorite workouts being toes-to-bars and double-unders. On the other hand, he does not care for anything overhead, saying it scares him. Moreover, he regularly registers for the CrossFit Open, and attends the CrossFit Games, spectating of course.

Starring in the CW’s reboot of 90210, Trevor Donovan is certainly considered to be a bit of a hunk. He is known for his dashing good looks and super ripped six-pack abs. In fact, he very blatantly credits doing CrossFit for his impeccable physique.
Trevor usually trains at his brother’s certified CrossFit gym in Los Angeles, California. As a result, he gets firsthand exposure to someone who takes the sport seriously and knows how to do the workouts. This, coupled with a strict diet, has left this young star with true heartthrob status.
15. Henry Cavill
You read that correctly, Superman does CrossFit. How else do you explain his superhuman strength? (disclaimer: CrossFit may or may not actually give you superhuman strength)
It was actually Cavill’s role in the Batman v Superman movie which first introduced him to CrossFit. He trained with Michael Blevin, largely focusing on gymnastics, Olympic weightlifting, and plyometrics. This well-rounded training regimen left him primed to play America’s greatest hero, all while enjoying the sport.
14. Paula Patton
Paula Patton has been in a variety of films over her decade and half long acting career, including some action movies. As a result, she has had to work hard to get in great shape and stay that way. For her, CrossFit was that answer.
What draws Paula to CrossFit so much, is the fact that it is able to be done in a group setting, as opposed to something like running on treadmills. Furthermore, she finds the 30-minute training sessions to be helpful for her busy schedule of being a mom. So she is able to get a workout in nearly every day, with the variety of exercises keeping her on her toes.
13. Bob Harper
It comes as little surprise to hear that someone who made a name for himself on the Biggest Loser enjoys CrossFit. Helping others lose large amounts of weight allowed Bob to find various methods of exercise. However, he found CrossFit’s intensity to be the perfect fit for himself.
Initially, Harper fell head over heels for CrossFit, loving its compact structure. Although it is worth noting that after having a heart attack, he has had to take a step back from how intense he trains. Nevertheless, this is still his favorite method for working out.

Fans of hit TV show Lost saw Josh Holloway looking jacked at the beginning of the decade. They may be surprised to learn that he is still in great shape and the cause? He absolutely loves CrossFit.
Josh has been an athlete since he was a kid, regularly playing basketball. He finds that the cross-training he gets from doing CrossFit, helps him to keep up his athleticism. He particularly appreciates the fact that it helps to keep his core powerful, and provides a well-rounded amount of fitness.
11. Joe Manganiello
Husband to Sofia Vergara and Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello loves fitness. He is known for having an amazing physique and says that CrossFit is to thank for that. He is regularly seen heading to a CrossFit gym for some training and swears by the results he sees from the practice.

Bass has actually developed unique training plans that center around a base in CrossFit. He has Diaz doing various workouts like tire flips and rope training. Moreover, he has cultivated 10-minute mini sessions, for those who are interested in the workouts that Cameron does.

Parker Young is an up and coming actor, who stars on ABC’s Suburgatory. He is quickly beginning to get recognition in the industry, due to his stunning good looks, and impressive body frame. However, when you realize that this comes directly as a result of his passion for CrossFit, it begins to make sense.
The thing that Parker likes the most about training, is the community involved. He has described enjoying the fact that he can easily make friends with his fellow gym-goers. Therefore, when he comes in and sees the WOD on the board, he gets right to work, with a positive attitude.
7. Matt Damon
Matt Damon has been apart of several films which involve a high amount of physical activity. From Jason Bourne saga to 2009’s Invictus, he has found himself in plenty of situations where is conditioning was put to the test. Nevertheless, he has always delivered, showing off his unreal athleticism in the process.
CrossFit has been what has kept Matt Damon in amazing shape for all these roles. In fact, there are rumors going around that when he was in his peak, he was able to do some of the workouts at twice the normal pace of those he trained with. Although that has yet to be confirmed, it is not surprising when you take a look at his ridiculous frame.
6. Jessica Alba
At nearly 40 years old, and after having two kids, people are often shocked at the way Jessica Alba has been able to maintain her body. She has made it quite clear that she loves to workout, and do a ton of different types of exercises. But there is one thing which she enjoys more than almost anything else, and that is CrossFit.
Alba was introduced to CrossFit from her trainer Yumi Lee. The two have worked together for several years, and they have developed workout routines which are short, and able to fit into Jessica’s ultra-busy schedule. Similar to our number 10 entry, Yumi worked to design 10-minute exercise routines to fit into a long day.
5. Kellan Lutz
First getting exposure in his role in the Twilight saga, Kellan Lutz was already in pretty decent shape. However, when he was cast in the television show The Immortals, he had to take things up a notch. He was forced to get into god-like physical condition, in short order. If you have not already guessed, the way he did that was through some rigorous CrossFit training.
This became the start of a passion for Lutz, who really enjoyed the functional training of CrossFit. In addition to that, he likes the fact that the workouts can always change. He actually told his trainer, Rich McDonald, to surprise him with something new every day. That is some serious dedication.
4. Elizabeth Banks
If we were to sit here and name every role that Elizabeth Banks has held over the years, you would be reading this all day. However, the one thing which has been consistent in her over two-decade-long career, is that she is in stunning shape. Even at 46 years of age, she is still in good enough shape to make most people her age green with envy.
CrossFit seems to be the secret to Elizabeth’s outstanding physical conditioning. As she explains, she manages to stay disciplined with her training. She mostly attributes this to the fact that she loves how she is working multiple muscle groups at once. This ability to get her entire body working at the same time is what has kept her coming back over the years.
3. Brad Pitt
For the better part of 30 years, Brad Pitt has been one of Hollywood’s biggest hunks. From as far back as Fight Club in 1999, to as recent as 2019’s Ad Astra, he has had a variety of roles which display his physicality. His crazy abs get almost as much screen time as he does in his films.
Despite the fact that it seems Brad has been bricked up since birth, he actually works extremely hard for his body. CrossFit is a massive proponent to this, due to its intense workouts and quick results. He specifically enjoys the fast-paced nature of the exercises, and how the workouts keep you constantly moving.
2. Jason Statham
Jason Statham is one of the most successful action stars of all time. The British native is a lifelong martial arts practitioner and does all of his own stunts in movies. Subsequently, he is expected to be in the upmost physical shape.
Statham loves the functionality of CrossFit workouts. Even though he has always been in great shape from his combat training, he finds the WOD to be a different level of difficulty. He loves the fact that he can constantly change the workout, so when he does his 35 minutes of training a day, it is always something new.
1. Channing Tatum
Step Up and Magic Mike star Channing Tatum is known for his shirtless body almost as much as his acting chops. People around the world are blown away by his chiseled abs and bulky frame. The People Magazine “Sexiest Man Alive” does a ton of exercising to stay in shape, but a lot of it comes from CrossFit.
According to Tatum, he can get a little soft and flabby if he is not constantly in the gym. Therefore CrossFit is the perfect way for him to stay interested in working out. He likes to change his training regularly and finds that he can do that with this sport.
Obviously celebrity endorsements are not everything when it comes to deciding what you want to do. However, it seems pretty impossible to see these stars staying in shape because of CrossFit, and not feel like you could also benefit from giving it a try.
