In a change of pace, the reigning five-time Classic Physique Olympia, Chris Bumstead, decided to join his brother-in-law Iain Valliere for a cosmetic procedure. On Instagram recently, ‘Cbum’ and Valliere showed off their trip to Turkey for hair transplant treatments.
“Fresh haircut from @now.hairtime I guess this is what they think a fade is in Turkey 🤔
I have a feeling it’s going to grow back thicker than ever though🫡Swipe for my transformation…” Cbum shared.
It’s been an unforgettable ride for Chris Bumstead, considering the success he’s seen at such a young age. Stripping the title from Breon Ansley‘s hands in 2019, Bumstead hasn’t relinquished his status as champion, proving himself as the best in the world for five years consecutively.

In his last outing, the Classic Physique Olympia champ was tasked with defending his title in Orlando, Florida for 2023 Mr. Olympia. Fans thought Bumstead’s biggest hurdles would be Urs Kalecinski and Ramon Rocha Queiroz on stage. However, he once again surpassed both men on the scorecards, later admitting that his greatest obstacle was overcoming a torn lat.
Iain Valliere, meanwhile, last competed and won the 2023 Toronto Pro Supershow, though decided to hang up his posing trunks in September. Valliere helped Bumstead first embark on his bodybuilding career and served as his trainer until Hany Rambod took the reins.

Bumstead, who recently underwent a stem cell kidney regeneration treatment, shared a vastly different procedure below:
Shocked to see Bumstead shaving his head, fans and bodybuilders were quick to give their reactions in the comment section.
Fans and Instagram users speculate that Bumstead and Valliere got hair transplants due to potential hair loss, a common side effect of prolonged steroid use. While Valliere no longer competes actively, some were confused by Bumstead’s elective procedure since he’ll likely continue using compounds until he decides to retire.
It’s been a busy few months for Bumstead. On top of balancing his bodybuilding career, he revealed he’s expecting his first child with Courtney King, a former Bikini Olympia. Given his lucrative business ventures and popularity, rumors about ‘Cbum’s’ retirement continue to linger.
These concerns were again brought into the limelight after an imposter X account pretending to be Bumstead, hinted that he might ‘hang it up or go for one more.’ Ultimately, Valliere confirmed the account was not authentic.
Looking ahead, Bumstead plans to take his bodybuilding career one day at a time. With a recent stem cell procedure and hair transplant operation, it appears the bodybuilder is keen on preserving his youth and vibrancy as he enters the next chapter of his life.
