Although his fight with Hafthor Bjornsson is still over a year away, but Eddie Hall is still training hard for the bout. This has yielded the strongman some pretty impressive results, as he showed us with a recent training update.
The revelation that Hall and Bjornsson would be boxing, to settle their beef, was met with excitement throughout the strongman community. People were interested to see how these two massive beats would match up in the ring. Unfortunately though, it seems like those fans will have to wait until July 2021 to see the fight go down.
However that has not stopped Eddie Hall from taking his training seriously right now. He has already lost a good amount of weight from doing a crazy sit-up challenge. Now a recent update to his YouTube channel shows that he has lost even more weight during lockdown, from all of his training for the fight.
“I’m losing a ton of weight, actually. In total I think I’m down to 164kg, 163kg (359-361.5lb), something like that. By God, do I feel different. Just losing that, I think in total now, since the lockdown started I’ve lost about 10 kilo., 11 kilos, of bodyweight. The difference is phenomenal, within myself, within my fitness, sleeping, moving about, everything.”

Losing weight like this is great for Eddie Hall to prepare for the match. It seems like his plan is to have the cardio advantage over Thor. Yet all of that means nothing, if the Englishman does not also work on his technique.
So after doing a solid arm and shoulder workout session, Eddie proceeds to do some boxing-specific work. First, he works on his accuracy with a reflex ball, attached to his head. He explains that he has yet to secure a proper boxing coach, but he then moves on to some speed bag work, saying that he really enjoys the difficulty of this.
After ten minutes there, Hall started to work some combinations on the heavy bag. His form still needs work, but overall he does not look terrible. Following that, he concluded, reflecting on how his training is going thus far.
“Things are good. Feeling great, everything is going in the right direction. I’m looking forward to this, I really am. I’m excited for the journey.”
