Classic Physique IFBB Pro Fabiano Andrade has tragically passed away just a few weeks after his last contest. The news was confirmed through various sources via social media on Nov. 10, with some reporting that an accident was the cause of his death.

It’s no easy feat standing out in the Classic Physique division. With names like Ramon ‘Dino’ Queiroz, Mike Sommerfeld, and Terrence Ruffin in the mix, the landscape is by far one of the most competitive in the IFBB Pro League.

That never stopped Fabiano Andrade. He built his physique up methodically and competed often to test his limits. At the 2025 Musclecontest Rio Pro, Andrade showcased one of his strongest packages to take home ninth place. In his final contest, he tied for 16th at the Musclecontest Brasil Pro

In light of so many athletes dying, questions about the safety of the sport have surfaced. Former seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger was one of the first to draw attention to the rampant risks in bodybuilding. He argued that the Men’s Open was too dangerous, stressing that Classic Physique was the future.

However, it appears that athletes in Classic Physique are dying just as often as Men’s Open talents. Newly turned IFBB Pro Erik Markov recently passed away. No cause of death has been revealed, leaving fans even more on edge about the state of bodybuilding. With Fabiano Andrade being the latest to die, perhaps it’s time for changes in the sport.

Our Fitness Volt team sends its most heartfelt condolences to the friends and family of Fabiano Andrade.
