It is no secret that Hafthor Bjornsson has been dropping weight like crazy in the lead-up to his boxing match with Eddie Hall. Now he shows off the incredible transformation, and reveals what he eats to lose that weight.

When he was at the prime of his strongman career, Bjornsson was about 350lb of plodding power. Even as recently as his world record setting deadlift last year, he was walking around at roughly 340lb when he pulled 501kg.

However since he has shifted his focus away from strongman training, to more of a boxing centric routine, he has been dropping pounds. Nowadays the man who was dubbed The Mountain, looked more like a rather large hill instead.

Recently, Hafthor Bjornsson unveiled a crazy side-by-side comparison of the physique that he had before, compared to how he looks now. The post to Instagram shows the difference that 50kg (110lb) of weight loss can make.

Of course, for someone who was north of 350lb, Hafthor was still in tremendous shape. However now he looks lean and mean, with a six pack that is visible from all angles.

“From 205kg to 155kg. Swipe to see the difference.”

Hafthor Bjornsson Reveals Daily Diet

As he explained in the post, Hafthor Bjornsson also posted a recent video to his YouTube channel, in which he chronicled the training and diet that he follows on a day to day basis. This is what has led him to more than a hundred pounds of weight loss.

To be clear, his results will likely not be the same as yours, if you were to follow his diet and training plan. That being said, this is the diet that he follows, alongside the weight training and boxing training that he does on a daily basis:

Meal One

  • 3 eggs
  • 200g chicken
  • Smoothie (150g green yogurt, 100g strawberries/blueberries, 40g oats)

Boxing Technique Workout

Meal Two

  • 220g tenderloin beef
  • 180g white rice
  • 100g green vegetables

Weight Training

Meal Three

  • 220g chicken
  • 250g potatoes
  • 100g green vegetables

Rest

Meal Four

  • 220g salmon
  • 100g green vegetables
  • 100g white rice

Physical Therapy

Meal Five

  • 250g greek yogurt
  • 50g almond butter
  • 100g bananas
  • 1 scoop whey protein shake

“This is what I eat throughout the day. Can you believe it? I’m eating nothing, getting skinny. It’s crazy,” Bjornsson said.

“I feel so much better than I felt when I was 205kg. I was force feeding myself every single day, about to puke every single day. I kept eating because my goal was to be the strongest human on this Earth. Now I have different goals so I don’t have to be force feeding myself. Feels good.”

What do you think of the weight loss transformation that Hafthor Bjornsson has gone through? Will this be enough to help him beat Eddie Hall when they fight this September?
