Men’s Physique legend Jeremy Buendia will take on a test-run at the 2025 Sasquatch Pro three weeks before his final Mr. Olympia contest. He confirmed his entry in a recent YouTube video shared on September 15, 2025.

“I am competing this weekend in Seattle at the Sasquatch Pro,” shared Buendia. “It’s the first time I’ve registered for a show outside of the Olympia since 2014.”

Buendia is the most decorated Men’s Physique Pro in the history of the sport. From 2014–2017, he dominated onstage against contenders like Sadik Hadzovic, Brandon Hendrickson, and Ryan Terry. After teasing a comeback, Buendia fulfilled the promise to fans at the 2023 Mr. Olympia en route to securing eighth place.

Though he briefly considered the Arnold Classic this year, Buendia decided against it. Now, before heading to the Olympia, he’ll have the chance to dial in his peaking process so he presents his all-time best when he hits the stage next month.

Jeremy Buendia Announces Entry for Sasquatch Pro 3 Weeks from the 2025 Mr. Olympia

In the video, Buendia spoke on his decision to compete just three weeks out from the Mr. Olympia. He revealed that a few judges nudged him to consider this option.

“I’ve been locked in and focused on the Olympia. A couple of judges put it in my head about doing the Sasquatch before Olympia, it being three weeks out, and how it might be a good idea to get onstage. It was a thought at first; the Olympia has always been the goal.”

He’s using this show as an opportunity to remind top contenders in the division that he’s still an Olympia title threat.

“This is either going to make me or it’s going to break me. I’m really putting it all on the line three weeks out from the Olympia. If I were to win this show, it’s going to make a statement. It’s going to put a reminder in everybody’s mind that I am the four-time champion, the one and only four-time champion and I’ve only gotten better since my last title.”

“It’s been eight years since I won a show. Since then, the division has gotten a lot better. The guys have improved. The physiques aren’t what they were when I was champion. They’ve evolved and so have I.”

He also said the Sasquatch Pro is his chance to quiet naysayers, like Andre Ferguson.

“I’m going into this show to win. It’s going to be some stiff competition. There’s a few guys are doing this show, I know Andre Ferguson is doing this show. You guys know how bad I want to beat them again. There’s been a lot of back and forth between him and some of the other guys in the industry. This is my way of responding to all the negative critiques I’ve gotten from some of these guys,” shared Buendia.

“I’m getting ready to shut some mouths. These guys need to come with a big appetite, and they spoke a lot of words that they are going to have to eat.”

To win back Olympia gold, Buendia will have to take out some big-name bodybuilders in Men’s Physique. Ryan Terry, the two-time reigning champion, is eager to cement his dynasty with a dominant win. Meanwhile, Erin Banks, Ali Bilal, and Hendrickson will all be in attendance, aiming to become number one in the highly competitive division.

Should Buendia pull off the victory, he’ll have more momentum and confidence going into his final Mr. Olympia. The 2025 Mr. Olympia is set for Oct. 9–12 in Las Vegas, NV. Fitness Volt will have live coverage.
