Justin Medeiros has already won the title of Fittest Man on Earth® twice, despite still being very young. Therefore, Justin understands how important it is to have access to the right equipment and resources to maintain a healthy physique and training regimen. This is why he has invested in building a custom-made home gym, designed specifically for his needs as a top-level CrossFit competitor. Luckily, Medeiros filmed a complete tour of the gym and shared it to his YouTube channel.
Justin Medeiros’ home gym consists of everything he needs to properly train and prepare for the 2023 CrossFit Games, where he is hoping to win his third consecutive title. The gym includes a range of equipment and resources, such as barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, gymnastics equipment, and more.

Steel Rig
When stepping foot in Justin Medeiros’ gym, the first thing anyone will notice is his massive custom built steel rig, which covers up one entire wall and has multiple uses. One way of using it is as a storage, since Justin placed all of his stretch bands and mobility accessories in one corner of it. The other, more important, way of using it is to incorporate different types of bars used for movements such as pull-ups, muscle-ups, dead hangs, and more.

“We have all the pull-up bars set to the height like they have at the CrossFit Games… We have the boards just to do like different types of grips, to do hangs, pull-ups…”
Squat Rack & Weight Storage
He did, however, make sure not to leave an empty space underneath the steel rig either, as he also incorporated a squat rack with a full set of dumbbells and bumper plates right next to it for a more practical use as well.
“No matter where you stand, the weight is just there, because before it was all stacked in the corner.”
That’s not it in regards to Justin Medeiros’ storage, since he has another shelf placed just right to the previous one. This one contains a set of kettlebells and more bumper plates.
“Coolest Part Of The Gym”
Next up is the coolest part of the gym in the opinion of Justin Medeiros, which is a massive steel arch that connects two sides of the steel rig. Several empty spaces below it are where Justin hung his Olympic rings and ropes.
“I’ve never been on a rig that is this sturdy. It is crazy. It’s not bolted on to any of the walls and it doesn’t shake.”
Multipurpose Belt Squat
Another interesting piece of equipment found its way to Justin Medeiros’ gym, helping him avoid any unnecessary injuries. The machine in question is the Belt Squat, which has been placed just under a pull-up bar, making it usable for both the squats and pull-ups.
Barbells & Attachments
Justin then made some additional storage in the second corner of the gym. He made a place for some heavier dumbbells, a Log Lift implement, and almost every type of barbell imaginable. Most notably, the cambered bar, the EZ bar, axle bar, and so forth. In addition, a Lat Pulldown machine with all of its attachments has also been placed in this area..
Cardio Section
Moving on is arguably the most important part of a CrossFit gym, the section with all cardio machines. Justin has Assault Bikes, SkiErgs, Row machines and more.
“We got pretty much two of everything… Me and Ellie are pretty much the main people that train here, so we want to make sure that we can do each workout together.”
Opposite Side Of The Steel Rig
Heading towards the other side of the massive steel rig where the first incorporated piece of equipment is the Reverse Hyper, which is very frequently used in CrossFit. Following that up is yet another set of bumper plates, but also some medicine balls, sandbags, and different types of jump ropes. The final stationary piece of equipment is another squat rack, mirroring the other side of the gym.
Peg Board
Another interesting part of the gym is Justin Medeiros’ peg board, as he coated the wall around it with plexiglass, replicating what they do at the CrossFit Games.
“The spot where your feet go is different in every gym… So we really tried to replicate everything they do at the competition.”
Last but not least, Justin Medeiros has his plyo and jerk boxes stashed next to the final wall, with one digital clock placed on them to follow for training purposes.
