Kali Muscle Doctor Reveals ‘Heart Ejection Fraction,’ Says He’s at ‘High Risk of Sudden Death’

Kali Muscle received heavy news from his doctor about his heart health: "Your ejection fraction is about 25%, normally it's 55% to 65%."

Bodybuilder and fitness star Chuck “Kali Muscle” Kirkendall received news you never want to hear from a doctor. In a recent YouTube video, Dr. Elkins informed Kali Muscle that he is at high risk of ‘sudden death’ after revealing his ejection fraction was out of range. 

“I’m about to go draw some blood. You know during the pineapple fast and all these fasts people are always asking to see bloodwork so we go do a whole host of things to keep track of nutrients and the balance of the body and things of that nature,” shares Kali Muscle. 

Imagine your heart as a powerful pump that squeezes and releases to circulate blood throughout your body. The ejection fraction is like the efficiency score for this pump. It measures the percentage of blood that your heart pushes out with each contraction. In Kali Muscle’s case, he sits at around 25%, though, normally, it’s 55% to 65%; this is what puts him at risk of a sudden death.

In 2021, Kali Muscle suffered a heart attack and nearly lost his life. He vowed to change his ways, having transformed from a bodybuilder into a fitness influencer. In his spare time, he takes on unconventional diet and fasting challenges in addition to warning up-and-coming bodybuilders about the dangers of steroids. However, it appears he has more important issues on his plate after his latest doctor visit. 

Doctor Discusses Kali Muscle’s ‘Far From Conventional’ Diets, Says He’s at ‘High Risk of Sudden Death’

Meeting with Dr. Elkins, a holistic medical professional, Kali Muscle underwent a few procedures including a blood draw, blood pressure test, and an ejection fraction assessment. 

“He’s not no pill pusher. He had two heart attacks,” said Kali Muscle. 

Known for taking on seven-day water fasts and exclusive diets of watermelon or pineapple, Kali Muscle revealed he lost 14 pounds in two weeks. 

“14 pounds in two days. [183.8]” 

According to Kali Muscle, followers are fortunate to have influencers and online personalities to help them navigate various diets and fitness fads. 

“When I do these fasts and these things that outside the box to the world, I’m doing it to track so this could be used in the future.

That’s why people like Brian Johnson if y’all don’t know him that’s why he spends a lot of money on test and doing research so he could share it with other people. Guys like us should be thankful we’re doing this type of stuff.”

Dr. Elkins gave Kali Muscle the bad news, revealing that his ejection fraction ‘is about 25%’ with the normal range being 55% to 65%. The doctor added that Kali Muscle could dangerously misguide teenagers with his online content. 

“Got 104/72 for your blood pressure,” said the doctor. 

“I’m going to tell you straight, your heart , your ejection fraction is about 25%, normally it’s 55% to 65% so you’re at high risk for sudden death.

I really like all the marketing your doing on Facebook, Instagram, but the reason I don’t answer it is I don’t trust it, I don’t believe it. You’re giving as a non-doctor a lot of advice to people to maybe teenagers.” 

Kirkendall doesn’t believe he is offering advice to his fanbase.

“I’m not giving advice. I’m just saying what I’m doing,” said Muscle. 

Overall, Dr. Elkins found Kali Muscle’s dietary choices ‘far from conventional,’ highlighting that if he had a healthy heart, he would have ‘some room to work with.’

“But it’s not — it’s far from the conventional, far from the conventional. It’s not that I value what you do for yourself but it’s far from the conventional which is okay but if you had a healthy heart you’d have some room to work with.” 

This eye-opening doctor visit for Kali Muscle took place in the wake of several bodybuilders who lost their lives too soon. From Cedric McMillan, and Jo Lindner, to Shaun ‘Dinosaur’ Davis and Kristyn Lia, Kali Muscle insists the dangers of bodybuilding outweigh the benefits. 

In light of Kali Muscle’s heart health, fans are curious if it will affect how he structures or creates YouTube content moving forward. He always counts on shock factor, though perhaps the unconventional diets have caught up to him.
